I installed Resident Evil 5 on my PC and everything runs smoothly apart from there is no sound! At all... I have checked in options that the music and sfx volume is turned up, checked that audio worked on the rest of my computer, which it does, installed the latest audio drivers I could find and even reinstalled the game twice but still no sound, no menu sounds, background music, sound effects, nothing.
It is Just Resident Evil 5 that does this, even the windows live thing make sound as I log as the game is loading. I am using my onboard VIA HD Audio card on my ASUS M4A77TD Pro motherboard which is definitely DX9+ compatible.
