View Full Version : Capcom All-star Fighting Game

I have been thinking for a while it would be nice to see a Capcom beat 'em up, that featured fighters from all the Capcom games, kind of like Super Smash Brothers but with a Street Fighter kind of style.
I was wondering if anyone else felt the same and if so what characters would you have in the game.
Personally I would have characters such as :
Ryu (Breath of Fire III)
Jill
Blanka
Raptor (Dino Crisis)
Mega Man etc
The list is endless and I would like to know what you guys think.

I take it you heard of Capcom Fighting All Stars? They gave up on the idea because the developers apparently lacked faith in the project. Capcom Fighting Jam exists but was not a memorable experience. Pocket Fighter was a good cartoon fighter consisting of DarkStalkers and Street Fighter characters, it was an old favourite of mine and got good reviews back in the day.
Personally I am not interested in cross over games anymore, they just get cheesy as they go on in my opinion and very few actually work out (the Capcom Vs SNK series being particularly memorable). With the Marvel, SNK Vs games as well as Capcom Fighting Jam or Evolution I just think there has been enough for a few years.

surely it would just be exactly like marvel vs capcom but without all the comic book characters in it....

I suppose, yes there would be similarities but it could include ALL the Capcom universe and not just a hand full, the style could be different, unique stages from a variety of Capcom games etc.
It was just an idea, just I enjoyed the Super Smash Bros series so much I would have been interested to see a similar Capcom game, hear others opinions for characters, moves and if it would be welcomed but judging from reactions so far I guess not.

yeah it could work, I'd like to see a couple monster hunters in there, maybe with customisable armor and weapons, would make a great stage as well.
viewtiful joe could be in it and the dude from dead rising could take some snaps of all the action!

I'd be quite happy to see something like this, just for a laugh. Nothing to be taken seriously, but it'd be fun to see different stages from all the games, and all the different characters.
Phoenix Wright could freeze opponents by shouting "OBJECTION!" and then go in to pumel them with the judges hammer or something.
It'd be fun...

It does sound awesome, when you come to think of it.:D
I'd love to see a fighting game focussing on Capcom characters, but it would have to cover a wide range of franchises; not just from fighting games like Street Fighter, Final Fight, Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, etc.
How about characters from Mega Man, Resident Evil, Ace Attorney, etc? It really would be great to have a game which just screams "CAPCOM!!!" at you.
Capcom All-Star Racing anyone?

Oh yeah Rival Schools was made by Capcom, only ever played the demo but it was good.
