Well u have problems to kill Rathalos.. why dont u use traps ?

Use a hammer and flash bombs on them. Kill Rathian normally and use flashes on Rathalos, 3 hit combo their heads it shouldnt take more then 10 mins with anvil hammer.

wow ive never heard you say that hammers are the way to go:)
my advice would be to get a weapon that can block seeming tho you get hit with the tail swipes which are easily blocked and out of the weapons that can block id go for a greatsword but this is mhf2 isnt it? so i dont know any good greatswords except for siegmund and the gaoren one (which are weapons later in the game) , i just went through with longswords and the odd other weapon type for the right occassion.
so just bring traps pitfall and shock (and the materials to make them), flash bombs and just use these and hit him in the head (week point for norms and pink and azure, wings are the weak spot for the silver and gold).:)

biggest strategy is get some friends to help you really, more the merrier

I wouldnt have recommended hammers to a nub ry, just coz we have the hammer skills doesnt mean they do, Id have recommended a sns, there easy to use, fast, easiest to block with and usually easier to make then other weapons.

Lol thats true but as they say chuck em in the deep end and hope they swim. Tho its far funnier when they drown.
