Nothing will outdo the iPod. I mean the Walkman hasn't so far, the Zune also failed miserably.
oh yeah. the only place where it might be possible is in japan. sony has quite a large user-base there. i will only buy this if it can turn itunes songs into walkman songs. then SONY, HERE I COME!
I doubt it could. Songs from iTunes are encrypted. And I'm sure Apple wouldn't deal with the opposition in a way that will make them lose profit.
Western and Eastern audiences are different. Japanese phones wouldn't take off here, because there based less on practicality and more on gadgets. So even if they become big in Japan, it doesn't mean they'll be big here. And what if they're never released in Japan? We didn't get the Zune, Sony Ericsson probably aren't too well known in Japan.

The Zune was meant to be an iPod killer. Evidently that hasn't happened. The Zune hasn't even been released here, most people I know haven't even heard of the Zune, although most of them have at least 2 iPods. I say it's failed pretty well...
doesn't look like much! doubt it will topple ipod now though! thats like linux toppling microsoft.
TBH i either use my LG Cookie or my PSP as my media/music player.
I like the Idea of Zune but would prefer a Xbox portable to link with XBL where I can store my arcade games on to play whilst out.
My last 2 Sony Ericson phones havn't been working properly so I got Virgin Mobile to switch it again and got the LG cookiw touch wood still doing what it is supposed to do,
i got a blackberry storm and IT IS USELESSS!!!!!

but my ipod classic seems to work very well and i've had it for a year and a bit now. :thumb:
