Do you think Capcom should introduce new cast into the RE series?
Yes Capcom has a couple of characters already but they seems to feat the same scernarios all the time though if one dont count the bigger names like Chris,Claire,Leon and Jill.
I and you know that most of them only been repeated like Becca who only been in Zero and Remake/orginal but her story has been feat in Umbrella Chronicle once again.
Would have been better to feat her in a new story in that case what happened to her in after Raccoon Inccident instead then all the repeats.
Barry has only been used twice(plus RE3 Cameo) but his latest title was letdown if it even is considered canon.
But if Capcom plans to introduce new cast to the series that are fresh and migth get larger roles in the future I guess RE5 migth be the one?
10 years has passed after all much could have happened during those years maybe Chris and friends gotten new allies during that time?
I think the cast they have is cool and all but the minor cast that could have been given larger roles are used so badly plus and only been feat in repeated scenarios.
Luis could have been a cool new character that could have been feat in more RE titles if he had not been killed off.
He could have been a valuble asset to hunting down future Ganado threats as he was the one that study them the most in RE4.
But to sum it up do you want new cast in RE beside the orginal ones?
The series is probably nearing a closure the orginal cast is getting older perhaps it would be a good time to implant some new that figths along side the old ones.

I really dont think the series is anyway near a closure (if i understanded you right). With the new style an all it has just started.
Anyway, i would like to have the old characters back into the series. Especially Rebecca as you mention, perhaps reviving STARS or gathering the remaining crew. Just a fantasie of mine, that would probably never happen. Im glad Chris is in Residetn Evil 5 and i like his buffed body. It will be even more satisfying to blow a head away than it was in Res4. I hope we will see at least one more character that we recognize like Jill or Claire (not including Cherry). I think Claire will most definetley be in Res5.
I dont have anything against new characters, it would just be better with the old characters, i think.
I did not mean the series is to a closure but the orginal story seems to draw to an end.Which also been hinted that RE5 would be a major turning point.
Thus as the story is moving into another direction perhaps killing off Wesker and introduce Spencer or someonelse maybe the Agency etc.
Maybe it would be good to introduce new fresh cast aswell.
Cus honestly Capcom has not handled the cast they have that well and Becca is a good result I know Umbrella Chronicle was a sort of retell of the games that feat. Umbrella but would have been much cooler if they feat. her in a story that takes place after Mansion Inccident as we already saw most of her already in Zero which one ofcourse could say about Chris and Jil too but they had atleast a entirly new storyline in UC aswell.
We have also Billy,Carlos,Barry as said that is just side kicks but could have gained larger roles in their own games but Capcom has not used them for that.
Perhaps then as this time gap of 10 years Chris and company made some new allies that could be introduced in minor roles in RE5 only to be having larger roles in the future.

Capcom have created way too many characters that are still alive to introduce anybody new.
But i fully agree that those that have been brought back tend to be placed in really bad roles.
Even if Capcom decide to never bring back certain characters, itd be nice if they at least told us what has happened to them. Perhaps small references.
Upon doing this, i think itd be good to have some new blood in the mix.
No, Capcom need to tie up the plotlines of existing characters first, perhaps with the Degeneration movie and RE5.
I too mainly want them to tell what happened to all first aswell before creating new ones but as said I rather want to see new fresh ones in the future as Capcom has as said handled the cast they have already very very poorly as said Carlos,Billy and Becca only feat. in repeated scenarios we already seen when could have given them a game of their own while Barry has only been playable in the non canon Gaiden still.
So much potencial wasted.

Agreed. Capcom need to kill off some of the main characters and side characters, rather than just letting them disappear as if they never existed...
I dont know about you...but if i was in any of the situations that any of the survivors have been in, Id be spending my time trying to make sure nobody else had to go through it.

The fact some information about main characters who have vanished from the story whithout a trace leads that fans of the game always been wondering whats happend to them if they where killed storywise the trace would end plus they always can call them back if theyre running out off storyboards for future games i think thats why they leave it open .

RE4 was as emo as one can get in a RE title and that was baaad :D
Trying to seduce female(well maybe male too?) players with his emo looks and bad onliners.
To stay on topic.I know Capcom has plenty of characters left but they better do something with them soon otherwise I would maybe even want to see some new cast into the series just to give it fresh blood.
As I guess the Agency will make its appearance sooner or later and Medical Company S so I guess new villians might be in store atleast then perhaps some new cast to aid the heroes tackle this new treath would be cool aswell.
Im hoping Degeneration will tie up quite a few of the loose ends in regards to what has happened to some members of the cast since the Racoon City incident. Im hoping Wesker will feature more prominatley in the fifth title of the series then the previous too, prehaps even moving aside and introducing a new antagonist too the series.
