when i start a new game, after the dark screen with credits, i get this error

''D3DERR_driverinternalerror : present_result''


i tried updating drivers for gfx card, no luck, i updated DirectX version, no luck either

help would be appreciated

The game is not offically out so if it is a legit copy of the game email support.

Here in France too some small shops like those specialized in import regularly tend to insure their sales by being the 1st to release the game 1 week before the official date.
It's no wonder since it's impossible for Capcom to monitor every shop around the world.

Guess i may have a clue.

Are you using a ATI Card (X1800/1900 series)? ATI doesn´s supports these cards in the newer Catalys driver and you can only use it up to Catalyst 9.3.

Maybe RE5 needs the newer drivers to work fine. Hope they will bring out a patch for this. I wanted to buy RE5, too. But i have ATI x1800xtx :confused:

running with a 1950 atm, sigh, i guess this is going back to the store, im not willing to upgrade for 1 game, oh and no reply from customer support yet, really nice service, being 4 days and all:mad:

im sorry, but that's edit spike language you're implying that because i got the game early, and LEGIT!, and asked for help, they would just ignore me?:mad:

It's the same with many companys.

I got GOW early on PC and could not get help from Epic/Microsoft till the officialy released.

If the street date is broken it's the shops fault and companys don't tend to help till the street date of the games release.

It's to cut down on people using games that are not legit.

Not realy, Capcom know that some people do get the game early and it is legit but the people who are not legit spoil that for those who are.

so, its been 4 days now since i sent the last mail to support, and i have heard nothing, is this seriously the level of their support?, just ignoring the customers.

well, that's it for me, im returning it since there's no support to be had:mad:
