Capcom announced over the weekend that theyve bought K2 Studios, best known for their work on the more recent, more rubbish Tenchu games, as well as Valhalla Knights . Thats probably not the reason for the purchase, though: K2 also did some outsource work for Capcom on Lost Planet, and are also helping SNK with the latest Samurai Shodown. The moves aimed at making Capcoms game development activities more efficient and speedy, while Capcom also believes that pursuing a business strategy based on closer ties with K2 will help increase the value of the entire Capcom Group. And hey, who are we to argue.

I would know if a new Tenchu come or is announced ? Its my favorite video game ^^
Tenchu became bad actually, but I support Capcom to make it become better !

I wasnt big on Tenchu, but I sure hope it gets better in capcoms well capable hands :)

Im just hoping it doesnt become a Ninja Gaiden clone. :dead:

I doubt it. This studio was probably bought to assist in resource management and increase productivity - not embark on new projects. When all of Capcoms big projects are out of the way, then we might see them start working on Tenchu, but until then I doubt it.

Im actually not 100% sure that Capcom bought the rights to the Tenchu brand, per se, but instead just the development studio.
