Can't believe how many gaming events there are coming up in London, take a look at this - http://www.londongamesfestival.co.uk/Events.aspx

I've never been to a gaming event so hoping to get to a few of these, especially the careers fair, the Eurogamer expo and the London MCM Expo. From any event veterans, any advice on what are the top UK gaming events?

I had an amazing time at Eurogamer expo last year as it was well organised. In fact I managed to play just about every game I was interested in with no problem.

The career fair is handy if you want to meet some people and get to know how working with games really is.

As for MCM is is more about how funny it can get to see all the crazy detailed costumes that everyone has.

If you got the time and feel like trying something new then definetly check them all out.

There is also Videogames Live which I really like but this year it is outside of London, so will probably skip it.

Thanks for the info charmed699. Was thinking about going to MCM expo as it has a mix of stuff, will probably look into the eurogamer one as well.

In fact I'll probably end up going to them all as most are on the weekends, plus I think Capcom may be attending some, not to mention the freebies on show ;)

Hey there Capcom fans. I'm the Community Manager for the Eurogamer Expo. Thought I'd drop by to let you know that last Friday we announced the list of games that Capcom will be bringing to this year's event.

You'll have the chance to play Lost Planet 2, Dark Void, Monster Hunter 3 Tri and Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars. The Street Fighter IV arcade cabinets that were so popular last year will also be returning for 2009.

Hope you can all make it, tickets are still available priced £6 per day here - http://expo.eurogamer.net/ (http://expo.eurogamer.net/contact.php)

Any questions please let me know. :)
