resident evil for psp

a think capcom should make at least 1 resident evil game for the psp because silent hill origins isnt that good or scary and is pobaly the ony survival horror out on psp and resident evil would sell loads for the psp and its a great game

Already been wished for, asked for, demanded.
Leave it in Capcoms hands. It will come, in time.

Silent Hill Origins was absolutely amazing, and for the most part was a well made survival horror.
Origins kind of proves that the PSP should be able to handle a RE game...and will hopefully spur Capcom on to finally getting round to making one (despite announcing one several years back).
Ive always said though, they should do a remake of Survivor and release it on the hand helds.

Well there IS BioHazard Directors Cut for PSP via the PSN if that counts.

Not seen it on Euro,Jap or USA PSN.
EDIT

Well see something no doubt. The PSP is (kind of) starting to pick up with Chains of Olympus AND Crisis Core. Hopefully Capcom will jump on the bandwagon soon - though their recent compilations / remakes havent sold tooooo well either.

Im aware that Survivor isnt exactly the best game for them to spend time on. But all they would have to do is update the look, the controls, and add in the ability to save on a regular basis.
But like i said, the release of Silent Hill Origins on the PSP really shows the potential for a survival horror title, and Capcom really should get on with it.

When they made a Silent Hill game for the PSP (namely Origins), they ended up porting it to the PS2 anyway.
Unless it garners a huge audience, making a totally new Resident Evil game on the PSP would be taking a gamble.

I didnt realise Origins had been ported to the PS2...i heard they were thinking of it, but nothing conclusive.

Its apparently a pretty good port too. Hopefully Crisis Core and GoW doesnt get ported or there probably isnt anything worth getting a PSP for.
But yeah, Origins was pretty worthwhile in terms of proving a handheld can be scary and Im sure there is a lot of potential with an RE game.

Except for the portable experience of these games, videos, music and games such as Portable Ops, Daxter, Castlevania, Syphon Filter, Monster Hunter, Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, Patapon etc. ... yes, that aside, you are right.
Tough call on a portable RE, or DMC for that matter, though.

Having said that Im interested to see how many of you actually play portable games out and about.

I have 4 games for my PSP, and i mostly use it when im going for a long drive or going round a mates that doesnt have a console :P
So far, im seeing very little point in me ever having bought a DS and PSP...

Good question. According to Sony ~ 50 % of all PSP owners use their PSP (exclusively?) at home. Interesting past, present and future article over at IGN (http://uk.psp.ign.com/articles/862/862358p1.html).
Im all for the (cinematic, story-driven, complex, core...) home console experience (including old-school RPGs) and as such I basically exclusively play at home. Never for short bursts. So I am interested in such games and its nice to actually play while lying on a couch or a bed holding the PSP like a book.
As for games, I do own Daxter, Portable Ops, Crisis Core, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Digital Novel, Final Fantasy 1 and 2 and Star Ocean: First Departure (sadly there is only a Japanese version at this point).
I think both Resident Evil and DMC for the PSP would have to be primarily designed as home console games. Capcom should perhaps also do something like SE with Crisis Cores side missions.

BUT when I go to a trip I always take it with me and leave the DS at home. DS is the only console I only play at home. it has really bad choices of games that you can play outside (people seeing you playing Pokemon instead of GTA or Metal Gear Solid)
Id rather want to take the PSP with me and continue playing DMC on PSP instead of just having DMC on a home console and not able to play it anywhere than my room. a portable RE2 was a great experience.
anyway, I just bought a PSP Slim, Im unable to hack it. so I updated it to the newest firmware and Im enjoying Mortal Kombat: Unchained and Silent Hill Origins a lot. one day, I WILL buy another (hackable) PSP and play some kick ass portable PS1. and... other consoles too.
I think a fill in game of what Chris has been doing since Code:Veronica would be awesome for the psp (with RE4s camera angle)
(with RE4s camera angle)
whats it with ya guys and RE4 camera angles, man.. if you wanna new RE4, go play Gears of War or Metal Gear Solid. Resident Evil will stay like how RE games should be.. RE should never be changed.

Outbreak File #3 *Droool*
That would totally make me piss honey and get PSP... Especially if it would have multiplayer! (If, if, if... But no!)

If a PSP version of Outbreak were to be released, it more than likely would have multiplayer...but still, i am seeing no source for this rumour.

Yes...but was there a source??
Wikipedia tries its hardest to reference any claims...with sources.
Wikipedia is updated by people of the internet. I could access Wikipedia now and claim that Resident Evil 5 is going to be 360 exclusive, and it would probably remain on there for a few days.
When reading Wikipedia, always check for official sources of the information being given...

But he does make exceedingly good cakes.
About the only thing I can think of that would make a good PSP game would be a portable version of RE: Outbreak, simplified.

I would honestly prefer a new RE title for the PSP. Something built specifically for the PSP, rather than a port or something like that.
Again, after seeing and playing Origins...i cant help but think that Capcom are missing out on something here.
RE will be released at some point on the PSP.
A related article mentioned According to Sony marketing manager John Koller, later this year the PSP will see some very unique titles with a focus on franchise umbrellas. And we all know how big a franchise RE i.

That just leaves me wondering what could be made so unique about a RE title though...considering the likes of Deadly Silence, Umbrella Chronicles and Survivor...
Resident Evil RTS? RPG? :P
Or a Portable Ops where you go out on reported Biohazard outbreaks and deal with zombies and mutants. Unlock more characters new and old. Maybe set in the future with a biohazard ravaged world.
Or
Resident Evil: In Space dun dun dunnnnnnnnn

Resident Evil: In Space dun dun dunnnnnnnnn
lol.
They did it to Dino Crisis...why not Resi? :P
I just thought that they could easily do the original version of Zero...where you play as members of BRAVO team up until their deaths. Thatd be interesting.
I heard that Capcom have some PSP titles up their sleeve still.
The only two games I wanna see hit the PSP are Resident Evil and Devil May Cry.
I swear DOWN that if its Megaman or Viewitful Joe or something I may ascend to Super Saiayan level 2...you dont wanna risk that people!

Isnt VJ already on PSP? Or is that DS?
Isnt VJ already on PSP? Or is that DS?
yes, a VJ game was made for PSP and PS2.. but I believe it was another disappointing VJ game, this could well be the end of JV.. I own the second game. and I wish to play the first one.. since it only has VJ in it and not that girl. I think the first game is great.
Ive played the first but not the second.
Apparently you can play as the girl when youve finished the game but I could never find the option to do so and no FAQ explains how to choose characters.
Have you not played it Ice? If youre gonna get it id go for the PS2 version simply cause it has Dante as a guest character in it....tho I dunno how the actual game fairs in comparison to the GC version. Since Killer7 was superior on the GC and a total nightmare on PS2.
I think the PSP/DS/PS2 VJ game in reference is Red Hot Rumble which isnt a proper game...well, I dont class go karts, fighters and awful spin offs proper games :P
