Its not confirmed yet, maybe its just a fake, but the rumours say theres an extra scenario where u play as Hunk... I hope this is true, maybe u have some infos about it.

Well if money is to be made who knows.
I am not saying its true as I doubt it my self.
Resi 5 wont be out for at least a year this would be a nice gap filer.
Thats my point though, they lost money on Remake and (especially) Zero - hence the turn around for 4. They arent going to go back on that.
Anyhow, yeh this is a sure fake. The guy that posted this uses German words in his profile, and this pic just happens to be uploaded to a German language file hosting site. Im with Columbo on this one.

it would at least be the best version of RE4 I could think of. Id rather want to play RE4 and 5 this way. they should make a classic mode for RE5 where you could choose if you want to play it new stile or the old school camera angle goodness.

Oh, dont worry we looked and read what you wrote, very carefully, and came to that conclusion. What do you expect? You yourself are German (or at least use German on your profile) and you link to a proposed picture on a German hosting site. Do the math. You also failed to provide any other details. For example: link us to wherever you saw this image, it must have been a forum or a news site, yes? Link us so we can read about the rumors you mentioned in your post.
Im waiting for your link to wherever you saw/read about this image. Until that time, Im assuming with good faith you made it yourself.

I have to say, if it is a fake...it is a very good one.
Perhaps it is Capcom themselves doing an elaborate April Fools?
The videos on the horror are quite good, but the classic mode looks stupidly difficult to play...

Im talking about the fact that the game utilises the 3D aiming system...as opposed to the static system in the original games.
The fact that the player didnt seem to be able to tilt the laser up, down, left or right seems to me as if there are still a few programming errors.
I love the original games and hate RE4...but to be honest, RE4 would be better off kept as it was made...it looks near enough unplayable, and there is honestly nothing new in it anyway...

The-Horror has come out and admitted that it is all fake, even pointing out a few errors in the video we all overlooked. Its unfortunate really, I wouldve bought it =P
appearantly they hacked the PS2 edition to computer and then changed the codes... i would say they also hacked an older RE game and copied then the angle section codes to RE4... quite good,really clever!! but i dont know if i wouldve played it this way... sometimes the controls were quite annoying...^^

:cry: So it was a fake ..... Oh well, now i have to wait til Resi 5 is comin. Hopefully i can play a beta version on the Games Convention this year.

oh, and it would be easier if there was no aiming at all.. rather just auto aim like in RE Outbreak or do it like it was in RE Remake. cant be too hard.

Your opinion is your opinion, fine by me. I also share this sort of opnion with the earlier titles. Check the collection thread and you can see that i own multiple versions of all of the games.
But RE4 ports would be ports for the sake of ports...nothing new added. What could HUNKs mission possibly add to the series? Umbrella are dead and gone...so he would essentially be a mercenary. I think this would probably be just the same as the Ada scenario we played in the PS2 version. Futile.
As for the camera angles, i again repeat that the videos show that it is near impossible to play.
RE4 is 3D, the environments and enemies use this 3D environment to their advantage...often running around and leaping everywhere. Auto-aim would be entirely useless against all but the Ganados. So, great, we can get through the first stage with the auto aim (baring in mind it will take several attempts due to their being hundreds of enemies running around), but later on wed be screwed.
And can you imagine doing the QTE sections with these camera angles? Theyd be dreadful.
But, alas, opinion is opinion.

I loved the Ada missions, and I would also love Hunk missions. I really dont care if it adds to the story or not, as long as it is fun to play.
But the camera angle would be terrible, as you say. Do not want.
But just add some bonus material and some new playable character or someting and release it for the 360 and PS3, and I would totally buy the game, and many people who missed it for the GC/PS2/Wii would buy the game for the first time. You cant go wrong with RE4 :D
The Wii release was pretty justified due to its control scheme, It differed in that respect greatly and offered Nintendo fans the full features of RE4 on PS2, As was the PS2 version as it gave PS2 owners the chance to play RE4, However, I dont think that any new edition on PS3 or Xbox360 would provide enough features to warrant a new release of the game, I doubt that people who have probably already paid for and completed the game on their previous console would buy it purely based on perked up graphics, a shiny new box and another inane 5 minute level featuring another returning character.

But RE4 was never released on any Microsoft console... And I think if Capcom released a new version say 4-6 months before RE5, people will be very hyped, and would buy RE4 in the wait for RE5.
I really hope they release a Xbox 360 version of the game. I had it on Gamecube but ive sold that and it is an awesome game
For me, I dont really care if it gets released or not, weve got a few version to play, I dont think theres any need for another, it wouldnt be too justified; well, expect for people with an Xbox. I think they should focus more resources on other projects.

No one wants to do that though. Its financially viable - the game was commercially and critically succesful. On top of that, your hindsight bias is clouding your judgement of the game. Of course you could see how its fake when you know it is. Its just being overconfident really.
Seriously, a next gen port of RE4 isnt out of the question as its financially viable. People would pick it up for achievements ALONE Id be willing to bet.

It is near enough guaranteed that anybody who is looking forward to RE5 is a fan of the series. Either due to RE4 or the original games.
This mostly means that near enough all of these people would own 1 of the consoles that the series was released on.
Ill happily admit, as ever, that i would buy any port of RE4 to the next gen consoles (due to being a collector)...but i still see it as an unjustified thing to do.
Yes, people would buy it...i never once claimed that they wouldnt. Yes, the unlockables and achievements would certainly be interesting (perhaps Mercenaries online?)...but, as always, my opinion is my opinion...and it just so happens to be that i dont think it should ever be done.
PS - Upon seeing the boxart at first i thought they were real...but then after watching the videos i made an educated guess. I figured it was a very elaborate hoax from Capcom themselves for April Fools day.
Well Bullys 360 release is an example, I suppose.

The port of Bully to the 360 and Wii makes more sense than this would though. Rockstar like releasing their games on multiple platforms, and it would have been pointless releasing Bully on the Xbox and Gamecube...
You know what? This was an aprils fool at one site, and some people didnt realise that. So then they started posting all over the internet. So it is a fake, if its not clear to everybody. Besides Capcom denied the whole game.
Well, I see some Photoshop skills CAN make people go crazy...

The way the original site advertised it was reasonably realistic, etc. And to be honest, the cover design was actually very well done compared to others (check out the cover which Haunted77 chose to show off in the RE5 thread for instance).
looks like someone made the cover, printed it off, stuck it in two cases, took a photo and edited the photo.
Also, Ada is a giant, Hunk changes colour and Leon looks like he is about to leave the casing for some reason.
