personally, i am actually lookin forward 2 this game as i really liked the multiplayer of lost planet. this time it comes with more maps, more modes and cums out at budget price which is a bargain. hopefully less japanese ppl laggin servers this time tho. does any1 else agre???
yeah, it looks good. if it were a sequel there would be a PS3 version too. shame really, oh well. im tempted to get the 360 version, but i hear that online is as problematic as the PS3 version of LP, which tbh, i wouldnt want to pay for.

There is no problems with LP online with Xbox Live. Ive played it every day since the release January 12 2007. Minor lag problems.
This game has really been a saviour for me. Ive played alot of games since January 12 2007 and none of them has standed out like Lost Planet. The textures are very clean and sharp, the explosions are amazing and the action in the game are intensive.
Only thing i missed in original Lost Planet was Akrids in Multiplayer mode and now we are getting it in Colonies.
Also the ability to change the camera view from Third person to First Person and to Resident Evil 4 view will be avaible.
New guns and maps and weather conditions too. Cant wait to play the space map. 2 months left until the release. That is too long!!

Dont be so ignorant. They have to play the game too. Just with you joining their games lags their games too. Heck I could say the SAME about you for when I play.
As for Colonies - looking forward to it. Wanna play some more of Lost Planet and this is no better way to do it. Hopefully we see a bigger surge of players online once Colonies gets released. Im interested to see what new weapons are included also.
Its got a nice bunch of content, I have the tinned version for 360, but mine broke before I had a chance to complete it, so ill probably get this version with a new 360 when I can afford it. :dead:

I too have the Tin Edition for the 360 and previously owned the PS3 Version before selling it.
Still, I will most probably pick up Colonies.
this game could be a bit of a problem at ps3 as all the shooters, since at last in my opinion the xbox360 controller is the best for shooter games like this, the analog from 360 is very fine and very very eazy to use compared to ps3 with those big analogs wich arent so confortabil

i hated playing shooters on the ps2, as i thought the analogue was 2 wobbly. i feel they have got it spot on with the 360 pad
Spike , im sorry but the fact that new games come out dozent mean they look better then lost planet, it is just in your brain what thinks that this is the way it has to be but it dozent ....
Many new games are wross and wrossss then the one before them, lost planet has a super engine and if you got a HD tv or play xbox on HD monitor with HDMI cable on 1080p or 720p it still looks super ultra amazing and those explozionts in the game ....show me 1 more game in the world wich has such a big advanced action ? or such details....there is none, maybe call of duty 4 but not even that got so many explozions...
And of cours i mean it when i say that new games arent better just cause they are new...its just an iluzion , they are wross mate, as for example they created the unreal 3 engine and we gona eat that engine until the next generation of consoles come out, wich means that all of unreal 3 engine games looks exactly the same graphix just with a bit of difference of colour and stuff like light or shadows changing from each game to other one...
So i think that Lost planet with that perfect feeling of online gameplay is still one of the best online games and it will still be the best even in the next 2 years...

and the colonies edition will also got some improved graphix and much more combinations so the game will now after 2 years start it all over again it will be like a new game where i think all will start from lvl 1 and it will take at last 2 more years of full fun and enjoyable graphix.

so thats why you are called furious. lost planet had its problems remember, you seem to be a bit of a fanboy as well. if any game coming out soon that will define amazing graphics, it is called farcry2.furious, stop taking everything so seriously

Not only dose Gears of War look better then Lost Planet, it uses the Unreal 3 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unreal_engine) engine aswell.
Im not saying its a bad game, and i quite enjoyed it, but saying that it has the best graphics around when that simpily isnt the case is rather questionable ...
Unreal 3 engine ? of course that engine is a shiet engine and we gona eat that unfortunetley til the next generation of consoles.
and as i said before in my opinion lost planet looks better then gears of war. the colors are better i just enjoy it more, many colors and the explozions are just insane. and about the gameplay feeling, i dont think that commercial tipical shooter gears of war is even 15% compared to lost planet
i hate the gears of war and resident evil 4,5 camera style it makes me sick....i love 3rd person camera style
but of course that is only my opinion.
If you take a look at the HISTORY on this site , the year 1996 and year 2001 was the best year for capcom , 2003 was the last year when they made RE1 remake , since 2003 the first playeble game and the first game what i can call a real capcom game is in 2007 Lost planet. wich created the most powerfull enjoyable multiplayer gameplay and feeling, with the real next generation graphix and effects.

The reason why I (and most people) will say the graphics are better in a game like Gears of War is partley to do with the landscapes of Lost Planet. A game like Gears takes place in various parts of (the planet) Sera, including a level where you have to shot fuel canisters to light your way through the level, which shows great lighting effects.
Lost Planet has some pretty barren landscapes in comparission, though big and vast theres just not a lot there. Though this is meant to be the style of the game its pretty hard for graphics to be listed as one of Lost Planets strong points for this reason.
I do agree though that the game is really good in multiplayer (I prefer this to most other multiplayer games avaliable over xbox live), and I love jumping into various Mecha (or virual suits) scattered about the level and fighting some truley big bugs. The last boss is a little to Zone of the Enders for me, though I enjoyed the updated Virual Suit.

Well mate in gears of war you cant destroy the enviorment as much as here, and here are to much more explozibile effects wich realy shows the power of the 360 , and as i play it on 720p on hd monitor my eyes see perfection there, but ye gears of war is also nice i didnt say it aint

i personally liked lost planet too, but i hated how the story degraded by the end to complete rubbish to the point where i had no idea what was going on

The resolution dose show a big difference
I was on a 19 monitor at 720p now a 50 HD screen at 1080p and the difference is amazing .
But to say LP has better Graphics or equal graphics to GOW im sorry you must have poor eyesight
GOW looks more stunning than lost planet
LP runs on the outdated Havok engine
GOW run on the superior UT3 engine
I play on a computer monitor Samsung 20 on 720p it looks super amazing, yes gears of war looks better but its not such a free game as lp right ? its not a free > go and do what you want, 3rd person that way 3d game and distructible enviorments.

You change your tune from saying it has the best 360 graphics lol
The textures & visual are for superior than LP but GOW is a Microsoft in house studio game and so it was always going to better MS support during development.
LP may have more free rome than GOW but you still follow a set path unlike oblivion which is free rome.
I did not call LP old i called the graphics dated which mean its a early gen game.
Sure it has better graphics than a lot of games but graphically its been surpassed.

Oh please. There are differences you can, potentially, only spot in higher resolutions. But that doesnt even matter. Lost Planet does not look as good as Gears of War, from a non-artistic point of view, at least. What exactly is there to destroy in Lost Planets barren landscape? Energy tanks, barrels and rocks. I cant think of much else, with the exception of hostile forces, naturally. LP doesnt push any console. It is a good looking first generation game, not less, not more. Perfection is relative. Which may be a paradox... or incorrect.
