It's hard to notice who the character at the end is; he/she looks like a man when stepping out from among the foliage, but then the frame of the body looks somewhat feminine.
It'll probably be Leon due to the fact that the CODE: Veronica X scenario was placed before it (which featured Claire). Like a pattern of events with both characters taking turns.
Could also be the ideal scenario to dabble on what Leon did after Raccoon City and how his relationship with Jack Krauser established itself before RE4.

Yeah he's supposed to have a south american adventure, that forest looks pretty amazonian to me
