View Full Version : Spanish Okami for Spanish people
Im really disgruntled with you, Capcom. I trusted you. Ive been expecting every title you do for every console I had got. Ive bought many games and played most of them. And you have failed to me, to me and all the Spanish and the Italian gamer community. In year 2008 is unacceptable to distribute a game without any type of translation in a market like spanish. I dont really know how many sales usually have in this country, but if you dont know, Spanish is the second lenguage in the world. You have failed to every gamer than uses Spanish in every place in the planet, from Spain to Argentina or Mexico. Im very proud to be Spanish and talk this amazing language, plenty of life and history but I see that for one of my favourites videogames company, it dont mind. Im so awful about that... and really pity because a great work of a team will be not recognized like it should be. I will not buy this amazing game. Why? Because I dont understand English? No, because Im not less than a French, or a German or English. Im Spanish.
oh cmon! Cut it out... get real!!
I went to Spain,
all I can say.. Im never going there again.
its a country filled with mixed people, Mexicans. and its a very poor place, there are thiefs EVERYWHERE in Spain, my grandpa got robbed, a window on our car got broken by thiefs.
Spain is a nasty place, filled with what my dad calls fake people
you guys do not deserve Spanish translation from Capcom, seriously.
its not like Icelandic people get somekind of Icelandic translation, you all should just learn English.
I cant belive what Ive been reading! Ive trying to defend my culture and my language and you say that my country are full of thiefs and mixed people? I dont know where are you from, even the place you where in Spain but I dont mind discuss with you. I feel me insulted.

Wow, very intelligent, very intelligent... About the very poor Spain, I remember now when I saw the disaster of Hurricane Mitch in USA: I ensure that America bless rich people like you. Please, help you and read a little more to get more educated.
Ah, y sˇ, soy espa¤ol. Y muy orgulloso de ello. Adem s, no me han robado en toda mi vida. Ser que uno tiene suerte...

I apologize if I insulted you, and Spain or whatever.
but I was speaking very truthfully, all that happened on 2 weeks when I was there.
do you people from Spain (maybe not you, but most) think robbing and stealing is Ok? from where I come from, stealing is a sick thing to do.
you think insulting is a horrible thing, but stealing is not?
Humanice, you cant say than most of the spanish are thiefs because you were stolen.
The only thing than i read in your post is than you are angry becaus you where stolen, and you are generalizing because of that, i have lived all my live here in spain and i didnt get stolen in my whole life, an for sure im not a thief.
Please comeback to the point of the threat, is than a game hasnt been traslated to a idiom than is spoken in more than 14 countries, by more tan 180 millions of people in the world, an spoken by 22 milions of people in the USA, almost the 50% of their POPULATION, in resume it hasnt been translated to one of the five idioms more spoken in the wolrd.

If it was up to me you would have been banned by now.
As for your ridiculous comments, if I were to apply your logic I would have to think that all Icelandic people are total morons. Which they are not. That being said, I assume your grandpa merely lost his stuff and couldnt remember where (being a Viking and all), your father presumably smashed that window by accident (being a Viking and all) and both him and you dont have the slightest idea as to what youre talking about (being Vikings and all). Chances are you havent been to Spain either but to your villages neighbouring village. Either way, the entire Spanish nation (oh well: continental Europe) is probably glad that you wont ever go there (again).
People in the USA should be able to speak relatively good English irrespective of their background. Spain itself is probably not a large enough market to warrant a (complete) localization for smaller releases.

Theres really no need to go insulting someones country like this. Dont make a habit of this.
As Ive already mentioned in another thread, we are sorry for the disappointment of the Spanish-speaking Okami fans who wanted to play the game in their own language. We know youd like to have Spanish text in the game, wed have liked to provide it too. I hope it doesnt destroy your enjoyment of this excellent game if you have to play in English.

Mexicans???, thiefs everywhere in spain???. Im 30 years, and i have lived in Seville and Barcelona and anyone have robbed to me and my family. However, this is not a reason to ignore spaniards. In fact, the videogames here are more expensive than other countries of EU.
In contrast, here the english people only knows drink beer.
Y si, quiz s sepa yo mejor ingl‚s que tu espa¤ol por eso que nos confundas con mexicanos, primera lengua m s hablada del mundo.
CAPCOM: Spain and Italy ARE EUROPE too.

wha?.. thats actually the only thing I liked in spain.. the price. everything I saw was cheap. and I bought so many Gamecube games when I was there. I even found a copy of Resident Evil 1 for PC at 2005 which is unbelievable. in Iceland, you buy the games for this year and last year, miss those games and youll have to buy them from ebay. unless its the hidden Video game collection store. they are selling some good old N64, SNES, NES and Genesis games there.. I found a copy of Super Metroid there and I want to buy it so bad. even if I dont have an SNES, Id buy it just to put it on the wall or something.

Is it possible that a spanish language pack could be some kind of downloadable content? Ive noticed that another game had a language pack to translate its english to Japanese.

The Spanish is the second language most spoken in the whole world, this way that stops saying bilges, is like all the countries, you had bad luck.
It is a shame that they do not translate the game ito the Spanish. If they do not do it, they are going to lose many sales (many many manyyy).
