If Capcom is about to give some new types of weapon in MH series, what do you think they should be?

A kusari-gama would be nice. Or naginatas ^^. There arent many new types they could put in the MH series, they have Great Swords, Short Swords, Lances, Gunlances, Bows, Bowguns, Katanas.... Maybe boomerangs would be cool as a long range weapon. With sharp razors and all that.

I d like a weapon which shoots a net to catch the monster for a few seconds.

That could be invented as a new type of ammo for the bowguns.

Cool... Well, I myself think that Gunsword may be good, if there is a Gunlance, why dont Capcom make a Gunsword? Or maybe dual guns, like Haseos in .Hack//GU, or maybe theyre 2 futuristic?

A Gunsword like in Final Fantasy 8 would be cool :) But i think thats under SquareEnix copyright. Throwing Daggers would be cool too.

Gunsword (Gunlance in FF8) would be awesome.
Or maybe Capcom should make 2 spaces for weapons, 1 for main weapon (GS, LS, DS, etc), and 1 more slot is for Sub-Weapon (Throwing Knives/Daggers, Boomerangs, and all weapons limited in number). But they should power up those sub-weaps, or else the Throwing Skill Up Skill will be useless...

What do you think about adding elements to your weapons ?? Imagine u get a Great Sword with 1000 attack, and it has no elemental attack. You just could find materials that r needed to put an element on it. Or how about painting ur Weapons/Armors like you want. Then every hunter would be unique, not 99% of all hunters walkin around with the best n strongest stuff - and same look.

You just could find materials that r needed to put an element on it. Or how about painting ur Weapons/Armors like you want. Then every hunter would be unique, not 99% of all hunters walkin around with the best n strongest stuff - and same look.

Its a good idea tho, in a huge mmorpg like MH.
Yeah, something like that needs a hell of work for Capcom, making hundreds of designs and colours...

They could put it up as downloadable content ^^ Game starts with a limited amount of em, and u have to download the others.
Another good idea... I really wanna make a Killer Scythe, but silver in colour, or a silver-black Dragonslayer.

^^ Speaking about new weapon types, they could upgrade the movements of the old ones. Like u could throw your SnS at a Monster, it falls to the floor and u have to pick it up again. The most wanted idea of mine is to combine weapons tho. Like Duals. You buy 2 SnS, and make duals of them. In the right hand u can weild a Black Dragon Sword, in the left one an odyssey. More open space for the players.

They weild the katanas with 2 hands too, the katanas are considered as Long Swords ( Tachi s ). I just call em Katanas. The katanas you mean are possible, but Samurais have always 2 Swords with em. 1 katana and 1 wakizashi.

I like to see some sort of huge shield that stops a monster in it path when blocking to add more team strategy to MH so that you could run out and block in front of a dieing teammate to save them, that would be cool and they could come with high def almost bringing tanks into MH.
Mmm, but with a huge shield, how could you possibly attack your enemies? If you just guard without attacking, that would become nihgtmare if you play alone...

Anyway, combining 2 different swords to make a set of dual blades is trully a good idea...

shame capcom have lost interest in mhf2. i hav alot of good ideas 4 downloads
Well the shield could has pointed and or sharp edges to like swing with. Main aim at teaming but still could be very powered. Just think how would you attck with a shield a blunt push and swings from the side of your body using the edges to hit with. Like the only weapon with blunt and sharp attacks making it more versatile.
