28 Days, yes, 28 Weeks? Nope. Too much of a Hollywood all American Action Hero sort of film. Completely takes away the idea from the original film.
I no longer have television, so i watch a lot of films now. I have near enough 200 DVDs and about 30 tapes, along with what my parents own and what i rent when i cant afford to buy new ones :P
Recently i have watched:
8 Mile - Seen it loads before, but i just wanted to watch it again. Good film, if a little pointless.
Unbreakable - One of M. Night Shyamalans better films. Still predictable, but with an excellent storyline and good actors.
This Is England - British director Shane Meadows produces a superb film that really shows what the British Film Industry can do...despite not having a Hollywood budget, etc.
Hard Candy - Excellent film, but not something you can watch more than, say, once a month.
Perfume - Could have been better. Interesting storyline, but the slightly dark humoured narration ruins it IMO, making the film more of a science-fiction that a Thriller.
The Simpsons Movie - Ok...but nowhere near as good as some of the older episodes. Not enough Mr Burns, or any other character to be honest...

If you can find Recep Ivediks DVD You should buy it we went to cinema for it and i have never watch a film like that ..
The last thing I watched was Body Melt, which has Harold Bishop from Neighbours in it. A 1993 film...meant to be a horror but Ive never laughed so hard in ages. Totally ineffable really; you have to watch it to experience the full effect of its excreta.
Next up on the list: Alpha Dog, to witness Justin Timberlakes apparently appalling acting.

Just finished watching The Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Interesting film...just as good as the first one, which wasnt amazing. Kind of annoying that they never actually showed Galactus though...and The Silver Surfer himself had one of the smallest parts in the film...with Dr Doom having a bigger part to play. Disappointing really.

Superman Returns - For the 3rd time on DVD and it was just as decent as the previous times.
Read Or Die - One of the more fun and kick arse aimes.
GITS Stand Alone Complex - One of the best and most mature anime series IMO
Cowboy Bebop Volume 5 - Needs no introduction really

Im just about to start reading the book now. Been lent it by my (hopefully) soon to be girlfriend. Excellent film.
Last night i watched Michael Moors SiCKO for about the 20th time :P This is by far Moores best film to date, and certainly shines a light on the health care system of America.
Sure, he can be biased, but this is why you take everything he says with a pinch of salt. Do a little research yourself afterwards, and you can find out the whole truth.
Worth watching.
EDIT:
Just finished watching Resident Evil: Extinction for the first time...certainly much better than the first 2 films, but still not too great. Im surprised that, despite knowing the outcome, some of the deaths really annoyed me.
Whoever it was that was playing Wesker was awful...a really poor choice of actor tbh. Everything else seemed ok though to be honest. 1 thumb up :P
Transformers in full 1080p thanks to the PS3/360 upscaling DVDs

Well I say that the first one is better (as in most movies usually), this film had a weaker choreography and of course weaker points even if you compare it to the previous. This film is an average film, what I liked about it was the soundtrack, pretty hot stuff indeed (again, usually...).

Beowulf.
Kind of like a movie version of God of War...OTT action and gore, OTT acting, the idea of covering an entire live action film with CGI was interesting and very well done...but a bit pointless.
I used to read the story of Beowulf when i was younger...and very much liked it...but this film kind of tore most of that apart and said to itself i want to be like 300 and it tried and failed at most of that.
Couldnt but think that when Ray Winstone shouted I AM BEOWULF! he was just repeating THIS IS SPARTA!

Beowulf and Polar Express do indeed have the same director in Robert Zemeckis (who also did the Back to the Future series), who help created the Imagemovers production company which produced both films.
They also did Monster House, which is a very good film.
American Gangster a little too long 2hrs and 40 minutes something like that, the beginning is good and the end is even better in the middle its all total boredom.

Panic Room.
There are so many good ways to use your free time, like watching a well made thriller like this.
roger eberts says:
As a critic I indulge myself by scoffing at loopholes in thrillers that could not exist without them. I guess Im seeking the ideal of a thriller existing entirely in a world of physical and psychological plausibility. Panic Room is about as close as Im likely to get.

I watched it last night, and i want to go back and watch it again...
This film is soooo good. I thought itd be a bit meh like the rest of the Marvel films...but this had me watching all the way through, and kind of wanting shout out yay and stuff...but i couldnt because the cinema was quite busy.
But yeah, this is by far the best marvel licensed film around.
Last piece of advice....if you watch the film, stay until the very end of the credits.

Walk the line, theres something wrong with me ive watched it six times this week. i get these moments when you watch a film and its brilliant and i watch it more than once.
I watched Stardust the other day. I was bored and unable to leave the house ok!
Napoleon Dynamite.
Ive managed to somehow avoided this film for 5+ yrs, and all can I say is over-hyped and dissapointed. Plus its just not funny.
Shocking. I thought it was so funny I laughed so much a little bit of wee came out. Maybe you just watched it in the wrong way. Its not jokes funny. Its moronic funny. Possibly a little too childish for you?
Watched S.W.A.T last night. It was ok.
I wouldnt say that - I found Anchorman hilarious.
Prehaps its just a little too dead pan for me.
Blues Brothers 25th anniversery edition
i liked the original version more since they chanced the ending on the one i just watched and you cant even choose do you want to wach the original ending or the new one
Last film I saw was Number 23, its pretty good, messes with your head and Jim Carrey does funny and crazy brilliantly.
Currently seen Iron man and 21, both good films.:)

Clerks
Clerks 2
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
all I can actually say after watching these movies.... wtf did I just watch?
I heard a little about them so... why not see few of them. these movies make no sense.. BUT Clerks does kinda make sense.. I enjoyed the 2nd movie.
Cloverfield. Just watched this for the first time and it easily slots into my list of top 10 films. Its quite unique, so its probably going to polarise a few peoples opinions.
I just watched I Am Legend awesome film, but also sad for what happened to his dog and yes it brought a tear to my eye 10/10.
Jumper, very cool film 8/10.
Dragon Wars, what a load of Crap!!!!!!! im not even gonna rate it.
3 10 To Yuma, another awesome film Russell Crowe and Christian Bale both played brilliant roles in this film 10/10.
Iron-man, I went to cinema of course i was hoping the film was going to be good but is was better than good its wicked since Iron-man is favourite Marvel hero i soooo happy so haha 10/10 of course.
30 Days Of Night, a very different Vampire film its class Joss Hartnett played a good role in this one but a sad ending though and no i didnt cry this time. 7/10
Halloween remake, had more of a storyline than the original its good but i preffer the original 6/10.
Day Of The Dead remake, im a zombie fan, i love all the zombie films but this one is the worst i have ever seen its worse than Dragon Wars. No rateing.

Because youve watched them out of order. You need to watch Chasing Amy, Mallrats and Dogma as well...along with 1 or 2 others i think.
They all link together, and if you watch them in order the jokes tend to make much more sense.
Plus, Dogma and Mallrats are by far the funniest of the lot. Clerks 2 is damned good as well, much better than Clerks.
I went to see The Incredible Hulk last night. Whilst still amazing, and well acted, etc...it doesnt beat Iron Man. It still beats every other Marvel film going, but not Iron Man.
Last film I saw was The Happening
It was a well thought out story, it just seemed far too tame, spoiling its impact, its cheap shock tactics didnt work, It made you laugh before dropping some kind of horrific revelation, Same went for gore, it was pretty gory but it was so trimmed up (possibly to get its 15 rating) that it wasnt nearly as scary as it could have been, at times, it felt like a zombie movie without the zombies.
Still, it was an okay movie, id rent it again to fully understand.

I watched Hellboy 2: The Golden Army last night.
It is absolutely amazing. Though i found myself siding with the Elf Prince more than with Hellboy.
Guilermo Del Torro has once again proven himself as a very capable director, and i honestly cant wait to see what he does with The Hobbit.
Watched Jumper and Hellboy II on friday night. I expected Jumper to be amazing and Hellboy II to mediocre, seeing how horrible the first one was. Ended up being the other way around.
Loved the prince as well, I was double on him most of the movie. At one point he was just bloody manly, but his goal was just really one-dimensional. They shouldve spent more time on his character development, rather than just having him kick ass throughout his screentime.

The Dark Knight, Get-Smart & Wall-E
The Dark Knight is fun, specially the final hour in the movie. Worth a second & third watch as well to get all aspects of the story. Now thats a movie which is fun and requires multiple viewing. It has everything action, dark humor, special effects a little soomething for everybody.
Get Smart- A usual Steven Carell movie with a good cast & some good comedy. Worth a rental.

Been watching a lot of films recently:
Rambo 1 - 4 - All 4 of them are great films, but i still rate the first film as the best. Each film kind of reflects the world at the time of making them, which is interesting...but the first film has so much more to it than action and violence.
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story - A dramatic telling of his life, with a few exagerations, but an excellent film about an amazing man.
Platoon - Another great film. It was one of the first Vietnam films i watched when i was younger, and had to buy it when i saw it going cheaply the other day. Watching it again made me notice many things that i had missed as a kid. Willem Defoe is an amazing actor, as always.
Diary of the Dead - A great film. Cliche, with bad acting and a predictable storyline...what else can you expect from George A Romero? The rest of the Dead films are just the same, and just as great. The social commentary in this film is a bit more obvious than previous films, but that doesnt make the film bad.
[REC] - A really weird film, but also really good...not as scary as the cover suggests (but i knew this anyway). The ending is the weirdest part...but its still a good film.
Letters from Iwo Jima - I havent finished watching this yet, but the film is good. Though the DVD itself is a bit ridiculous. It automatically plays it in Japanese with no subtitles...for 10 minutes i was sat there wondering if i was supposed to know what was going on or not...until i checked. Watch it with subtitles, not dubbing...as the dubbing is dreadful...seriously.

1-Chinatown. Chinese bashing aside, it had a good plot, great performance by Jack Nicholson. If you have money, then you can buy people. Sell people. Make laws. Piss on laws. Enslave people, through indirect ways. Your personality, your intentions, your character, your race and your religion dont matter. What matters is business, common interest between the big guys. Their business, is the life itself. Its just a movie, in real life, secret activities and businesses are more shocking and lies are much bigger.
Going to watch Hellraiser: Hellseeker.

I watched Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance last night, and will be watching Oldboy tonight.
Hopefully Ill have the time to watch Lady Vengeance tomorrow.
Sympathy was a very good film. Reminded me of Get Carter...though a little more violent.
Id skip Lady Vengeance, its a piece ocrap.
Just watched Suicide Club/Circle. Hit and miss really. Needs a damn editor.

Lady Vengeance is really good. Despite the name of the series, and despite the name it has made for itself...it isnt actually an all out violence thing...yes, it can be violent...but it isnt like Battle Royale, Ichi the Killer or Kill Bill...its refined and artistic violence in the same sense as something like House of Flying Daggers. Its violence that makes sense. And the violence is comparitivly sparse compared to the rest of the films storyline...the whole series/trilogy is beautiful.

Last Night I watched:
Untraceable - Kind of like the Saw franchise, but only for 1 film...its quite good really. More of a brain off film. But it makes you wonder if anybody would ever actually do it...and if they did, would it work? Would people still go to the website?
1408: Directors Cut - I was told it was quite bad, but I actually enjoyed it. I cant really stand Stephen King, but I find the movies based on his books tend to be quite good. This film reminded be terribly of Silent Hill, which made me enjoy it immensely. Its a shame that both endings are quite poor, though the Directors Cut ending is better than the original ending.
Today I watched:
12 Angry Men - A lecture recommended it in a lesson today, so I went out and bought it. This film is really good and really worth watching. Watching the thought processes behind the characters arguements is amazing.
Sweeney Todd - Im liking it so far (still watching it as I write). Its just a typical Tim Burton film, with fairly good singing (sure, not all of them have a voice, but they DO try), and its all very well shot.
I really liked 1408 too. However, I prefer the original ending, as its closer to the book ending. As its a book-film, the ending should be the same as the book shouldnt it?
What elements made you think that its like Silent Hill? Is it the SH4: The Room aspects or did you mean from the other SH games?
I watched The Grudge, The Grudge 2 and The Return. I must say that I enjoyed the three of them and I am surprised that Gellar can act so well. I guess horror films are her thing.

Like I said, Ive never been a huge fan of the Stephen King (his writing style lacks in so many ways), so Ive not read the book that the film is based on.
I prefered the ending that was on the Directors Cut because it felt like the right sort of thing that should happen. Happy endings arent always the best way to go IMO.
As for the SH feeling, it reminded me a lot of SH4 because of the whole locked in a room thing, but it was also the ghosts that he kept seeing, and certain things...such as the changing between worlds, etc.
1408 is a LOT like Jacobs Ladder, which is one of the biggest influences on Silent Hill...so its not surprising that it reminds me of the games.
Other films I have watched tonight are:
I Am Legend - I saw it in cinemas and have seen it many times since, but I bought a copy for myself today, so decided to watch it. It is a great film, though not as good as the original book. However, it does best The Omega Man adaptation.
Cloverfield - Another one I saw in cinema and since that I bought today. A great film. And if you ignore the idiots that tell you that it is a monster movie, then youll often be able to see past the minor flaws and notice how good a film it is.
No Country For Old Men, great film.
Watched it on Sunday and utterly enjoyed it.

Oh u say it man ^^ Ive only watched Diary of the Dead and Batman DK this week, not the others ( Saw most of them much earlier in life, excluding Night of the Living Dead tho. )
Diary o.t.D. is such a cool movie. Its not the Action Blockbuster, but i liked the silent and deep story. It was a cool movie, not like most of the zombie movies, kill, kill, kill lol. I really liked it.
The Dark Knight, wow, i saw it like 10 times now and still want more XD I got it on Blu Ray and its wonderful. Fantastic Movie.
Ive already seen most of them as im a big zombie fan. :P (I have plenty of zombie T-shirts)
The only one out of all the Dead movies I havent seen is Diary Of The Dead, I just thought it would be nice to have them all on DVD, the remake of Dawn Of The Dead is one of my favorites as I saw it at the cinema with my sister when it first came out, the scene with the gas canister exploding has permanently stuck in my head as one of the best looking visuals, ever.
And ive not seen The Dark Knight yet, despite everyone telling me how awesome it is, and that im actually a big Batman fan.
I Am Legend - I saw it in cinemas and have seen it many times since, but I bought a copy for myself today, so decided to watch it. It is a great film, though not as good as the original book. However, it does best The Omega Man adaptation.
Its actually kind of funny that they used the original book but with the cover of the film with Will Smith on it as a promotional item, in the book, Robert Neville is a blond white man, someone is clearly too lazy to edit his description...

Jimmy Carr In Concert
For Christmas so I have watched those. And I would recommend them to anyone.
Oh and I watched Space Jam.
Bump. :p
Just got Resident Evil Degeneration, I know I should have seen it a while ago, my bad, but at least I got it on shiny blu-ray now. :d

Hellboy 2: The golden army (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0411477/).
Beautiful visuals, fascinating concept (Very ancient tough). But Perlman ruined the movie, imo.
Human Trafficking (http://www.amazon.ca/Human-Trafficking-Christian-Duguay/dp/B000ETR9VU).
This movie made me feel like a feeble ant without power. Lets hope these zombie parasites get what they deserve. ***********s!
The girl who leapt through time is an amazing anime film, from the creators of spirited away i personally think this is the best film they have made.
saw Hancock aswell, wasnt as bad as every1 told me it was
Just finished watching Degeneration, id say its just above average, it has its good points and its bad points, all of which ill go in to detail later when im in the mood, I tend to be slightly disoriented from staring at a screen for too long.

Im not sure. It might have been American Pie: Band Camp. I decided to watch it as Ive found the series pretty entertaining over the years and because of the fact that there was a lack of decent programmes on at the time. Overall, I thought it was pretty comical.
The Naked Mile is on tonight (the only other one I havent seen) so I might check it out after I see Troy.
The last memorable film I watched was Sin City (was on before Band Camp on TV, heh). Started off slow but the action and visuals pulled me in soon enough. Fantastic film.

28 days later, starring barry burton;

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
I recommend it ;)
Fistful of Dollars / For A Few Dollars More / Good, the Bad & The Ugly Havent seen these since I was a kid, but instant classics. I lean toward For A Few Dollars More as the best of the trilogy, with the best characters.
The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button Major letdown.
Changling Great performance from Jolie, and the actor that played the bad guy, however the story was nothing new and it did seem to fizzle a little bit. Great locations and set design too.
Gran Torino Again, a little cliche, but it was a watchable and enjoyable movie.
The Wrestler Great performances, as good as the critics have made it out to be.
Max Payne Yet another example of game-to-movie blandness; the wooden acting provided by Dirk Diggler is only a further kick to the teeth.
Let The Right One In An awesome return to form for Vampire movies in this Swedish thriller. Quiet and yet equally violent and poignant, a must-see.
I ordered a bunch of DVDs online because they where incredibly cheap, Ive ordered:
28 Days Later/ 28 Weeks Later boxset
The Hills Have Eyes 1&2 boxset
The Robocop Trilogy boxset
Iron Man
Total Destruction - Alien and Predator Collection (All Predator, Alien and crossover films, 9 discs total)
The Evil Dead Trilogy (Limited edition collectors item)
Hellraiser Ultimate Collection (First 3 movies, best three in my opinion)
Just under œ100 for the lot, still, they where very cheap with the highest costing œ21 from Play.com.
Also bought the Friday The 13th Collection, which covers the first 8 movies.
So many films, so little time...

Sweeney Todd
a nice movie and i dont like musicals very much
Full Metal Alchemist: Conqueror of shambala
I'm gonna...going to...be watching Jacob's Ladder and the first Death Note film soon. Is Death Note subbed?
Jacob's Ladder is pretty sweet. Do you have the dvd with the deleted scenes? There's a some good scenes on that.
I don't have the DVD yet. I've been looking around...I'll be sure to find the DVD with deleted scenes

Jacob's Ladder is a really good film, especially if you're a fan of the Silent Hill series.
I recently got my hands on Sunshine, Hero, Right At Your Door and The Chronicles of Riddick.
Hero is the only one I haven't seen before, but the other 3 are good.
Riddick is nowhere near as good as Pitch Black, but it is still good.
http://dante2014.wordpress.com/2009/03/08/movie-collection-080309/
My movie collection. :D
Last one I saw was The Dark Knight, Excellent film, but a tad overrated, Heath Ledger was excellent as the Joker but they made Christian Bale too croaky as Batman, it was fairly extreme for a 12a but I would love to see a 15 rated version, this is probably the closest thing to an accurate portrayal of Batman to date.
Is Death Note subbed?
Yes.

Screamers 2, The production design was really good.
Street fighter: TLOCL
Although i love KK the movie was a piece of garbage, not sure witch is worse the old SF or the new one.
Also Twilight - Perhaps now one of my fav movies of all time.
Just finished The Incredible Hulk, enjoyable, but not nearly as good as Iron man, it was way too serious to be enjoyable unlike other Marvel films which have at least some hilarity, The action was rather good, but it totally lacked tension, Certainly better than the 2003 release though. -shudder-

Death Note: The Last Name.
The live-action Death Note films aren't bad. They leave a lot out of the series, and even ignore the second season altogether (thus the ending is a lot different). However, I still enjoyed watching them just because I love the Death Note story.
I also watched Mr Deeds again on DVD the other day. Not my favorite Adam Sandler film but still a decent and occassionally-hilarious movie.
I plan on watching Fantastic Four tonight on Film 4, but with the Football also on, it'll be a tough decision. ;D
I've only seen the first Death Note film. It was somewhat decent once you got around the special effects and a few of the changes (Light has a girlfriend, etc.)

Any one watched the district 9 movie? Is it worth it, I've read some good reviews, but also some not so good, who's has watched it?
Blade, excellent movie, one of the best Marvel films of old, Wesley Snipes was perfect for the role and the plot flowed excellently.
@Adaspek is Oorlogswinter any good? I'm almost ashamed to say, I never read the book, lol, and I'm not planning on it.. so perhaps the movie's a good alternative xD?
Last movie probably was Star Trek 2009, though me and Urya didn't finish it, as we watched it in the train. Sssspooocccckkk<3
i used to go to the cinema like 3 times a week but now i have a child to look after so i never get time. the last thing i saw at the cinema was G.I. joe (which is a real brainless action flick, ideal for a friday night after a long week at work) and the last one i watched on DVD was Paprika, which is very good.
Recently watched "The Ugly Truth".
Oh, i've not laughed so much for a long time. You'd better watch it with your boy/girl friend. It's worth one and a half hour of your time :D
