In addition to grading, please feel free to express what you like and dont like about the process so far. That includes the switch from the old to the current forum, the way your complaints and suggestions have been addressed and realized, what you like or dislike about the current forum and anything similar you can think of.

Its ok, room for improvement but that will happen over time as it matures so to speek, also a few bugs which will hopefully be ironed out soon.

I hate it that each time I log in I get dragged back to the home page.

Considering that I only log in If I want to post I dont want to have to find the topic again.

Got to vote 5, the change was un-necessary and since the change these forums have pretty much died.

I dont like the look, I dont like how it works, I dont like anything about it really.

I think many of the previous board users feel the same.

I cant even be bothered to check the site anymore. It feels dead, and whats with the DMC board being virtually lifeless despite DMC4 being released. I wanted to see some spoilers but...there arent any.

Then theres PM issues (ugly You have one message box that comes up). Dodgey log in/site procedures.

Awkward board in general...

oh...and HumanIce.

I want to give it a 6, but ill give it a 5 for sakes of being a lil more realistic and generous.

Viper

Nope. Im afraid with this change you butchered the little that was left of the capcommunity (gettit ;) ) and for that you get a six.

And how come banniks got old timer now?

Hes not a mod!

I say unlock the old forum and let us back in!

I have log-in problems, theres no old content to go back through, the place is dead, it doesnt look better, other technical issues, and being really honest - HumanIce (naming names) being back really does add to the reason I gave this a 6/6. Agree with Viper - unlock the old forum! No skin off anyones nose.

I gave it a 1, because there have been a few 6s that it doesnt really deserve. I just thought that Id average out the marks, as it does look better on my opinion.

3.

+ Better appearance. Better features. Scary smilies.
- More headaches. Slower.

Thats not how it works. If you think it deserves a 4 dont try to fix the overall result. Give it a 4. Personally I appreciate that youve at least explained your choice. Thanks for that.

I do like its look, and how you can make your profile look really good.. but its not working at the moment. when this will be fixed I will start liking the forum. but right now it has way too many bugs.

Dont worry hell soon be gone.

Either hell get banned or brutally beaten up by some fat ugly guy in the streets who he tries to assault. Maybe hell even beat himself up.

5, I hate this forum, its ugly lame, and sometimes after i log in it goes to an error page, i cant do anything, log in or out for about half an hour, it says Click Here to go back to the main page, and it just brings me right back to the error screen.

Tell me we changed forums why? what exactly was wrong with the old one?

Triple Seven

I gave it a 4. However after clicking the 4 and seeing the Thank you for your vote box I wish I had given it a 5. At first I didnt like the look of the forum but it is growing on me. However it is difficult to on here and enjoy being here at the moment as it is so dead. Maybe I will rate it higher once the content picks up.

One of my main gripes, seems that since the change to these forums, they have died, I wonder how many of the users of the old forums have moved here, really feels like we lost a lot of people.

We lost a lot of people after the last site crashed, then we got a new forum and lost a whole bunch more. I would give it a 5 but it wont let me vote, I like vipers idea of re-opening the old forum.

At least you GET a pop-up for your PMs, which serves as a great segue into the reason Im actually giving this forum a 5.5: its one huge glitch on stilts. It seems to work on no other browser other than IE: Firefox shuts itself down each time that dastardly Welcome multilingual screen comes up, while Opera, when you click on a flag on aforesaid screen, instead of redirecting you back to forum front page, it takes you to capcom.wap.com, which then redirects to Bango - why on Earth would you even do that?

On top of that, this place seems to be unavailable whenever it feels like it, making navigation and participation a pain in the sphincter, its a general rigmarole to get to many functions, the emoticon roster is terrible [you cant even tell what half of the faces are meant to represent] and as James mentioned, its generally dead round here. Culminate all these ills and you have one of the most unpleasant forum experiences ever, which is why I dont frequent here anymore either. I held my breath and went on about giving it time but Im not feeling anything.

The only reason Im giving it a 5.5 instead of a 6 is because a ) for some reason, I cant vote, so really I can split my points into many fractions as I like and b ) the other half is actually a plus - for appearance. These message boards do look better than the previous site. However, theyve been let down majorly by the general functional ineptitude.

This forum reeks of death. I cant understand why every two posts down a thread on my psp is blank. This new forum gets a four but I saw nothing wrong with the old forum which I think should be unlocked.

I agree with both of these quotes...though i am trying my best to give the forum a little more time...trying to spark SOME life into the place...

For the most part, the look is nicer (except the smilies), but at what cost? The most fundamental thing wrong, IMO, currenly, is the forum doesnt label read/unread posts properly, which turns browsing the forum from curious pass-time to tedious chore.

Another huge negative (for me personally) is the lack of signatures... I dont know if theyre not allowed, work in progress, or just so well hidden I cant find them. Custom avatars are nice, but dont make up for no signatures.

And as for the deadness following the move - I only used to visit the MH forum on the old boards. My favourites link went straight there. I dont bother or have time to read the entire board, so if a notice was placed in general discussion or something notifying of the move I, and a lot of others I would imagine, will miss it. I just thought the MH board was dead and stopped checking it... It was only when a mate PMd me on my PS3 that I knew this board existed.

Maybe the board move was like the MH marketing in the West...lets just do it, and see who notices ;) (ugh - poisoned blue smiley)
Capcom should have changed the webpage for the old forum to either re-direct or otherwise let people know about this place at the point it went out of service...

I give the board itself 5 in its current state, and will promote it to a 2 if the signatures, unread post-marking and any other issues I forgot to mention are sorted. A new interface Im willing to give time to get used to, but fundamental functional failures: well, like they say... you cant polish a turd b)

EDIT: and having tried 3 times to actually post this and instead getting server error pages, Im taking it down to a 5.5 ... It seems the login timeout is way too small, but it could be something else entirely.

Good post. The move was announced in Capcom Latest. After receiving a couple of PMs I was able to make an announcement in the Random Board. As far as I know the entire is now locked to moderators also.

You cant...you have to create a new account.

People always ask this when they join forums...why not make sure you like your username before you choose it?

Of course I give it a 6, and if there was a 7 on the list, id pick it... such a poor forum, bad skin, no activity, no good topics and small tiny little usless unseen with the naked eyes avatars... etc honestly this forum doesnt suit a great video game company like Capcom.

The US forum is MCH MUCH better, it is faster, looks better, easyer to navagate, works in my broswer of choice, has interaction with ACTUALLY capcom employees, has few bugs, it has a much better layout for forums

There are times it just wont let me log in.

Finding out how to PM a member took about 20 minutes.

Editing my profile took even longer.

I still cant figure out how to edit my signature.

3, at best.

I have an odd feeling that either CAPCOM gents wanted to cut costs and save licensing fees from buying forum software, or none of the geniuses behind this forum have actually used one. Being a regular forumer since 2002, I can say without any doubt which forum is the best, and its Ikonboard for sure. If a company wants seamless interaction, reliable forums and great and easily usable user interface and functions, they would have used an Ikonboard. This is everything opposite. Its clunky, horrible and I still havent figured out how to use a signature. If there was a more obvious move that demonstrated how little folks at CRAPCOM care, this would be it.

I do see the intentions though. Website and forum integration means constant advertising.

Too bad the folks are losing customers.

Ive been saying this for 4 years now, CAPCOM has entered the big leagues, currently controlled by Electronic Arts and Ubisoft. And we all know the quality behind those names.

At least Ubis forums are usable (even though they are bad too).

Just goes to show that if you dont know how to change, then dont.

I don t really know where to post this, but it s about the popularity of this forum, so I think it ll fit more or less...

It s not a regular thing to have 111 guests online, is it?
That seems kinda much to me. Is that because it s May 31th and they think that the RE trailer is here somewhere?

This forum sucks. It wont let you post on the forum with the wii because you always get redirected, when you try to read posts from this forum on your psp every second post is missing. I had to make a second account because I forgot my password and yes to anyone who thinks they are smart I did go to Forgot password page. I typed my e-mail address many times into that white box and clicked the send button but my efforts were in vain. When I checked my e-mail Capcom had not sent me a new password. The other forum was miles ahead of this forum and was compatible with the psp. This forum has too many bugs.

Changes are currently underway. In order to ensure that the results are somewhat consistent I will now close this topic. There may be an entirely new one but not for some time.

Ill leave this stickied for some time so that people have a chance to notice.
