Obviously with the flurries of giveaways, everyone's eyeing up prizes and know exactly what they want.
I'm not picky, but I'd rather it was something Monster Hunter-related or a t-shirt.
My aim was Bionic Commando, Streetfighter IV, or a Monster Hunter Unite T-shirt, medium, in blue.
I went and bought the first two, so in lieu of anything else attracting my attention, I want the T-shirt.
Oh yeah, there's MVsC2, I wouldn't mind that, but I do have Streetfighter. Played it last night with my friend :)
I wouldn't mind a game(BC or MVC2, or when other games come out, them) but I got Resident Evil Archives, and I honestly find it kind of unfair if I get games when I already got one. Although it won't stop me from trying to get them, I'd rather end up with something else.
I really want that "I <3 Zombies & Shopping" Dead Rising T-shirt, so far I've been sniping competitions specifically for it, if I can't win it, I'll probably find a means of buying one.

My favourite type of prizes are the ones money can't buy: signed stuff, limited editions, promotional things :)
Rarities are like treasure, and they hold the best bragging rights :D

What I really want is the Resi stuff, either that or the Encyclopaedia Gigantica because it sounds cool...even though I don't really know what it is...it just sounds cool...
The Encyclopedia Gigantica is a box, based on the official MH information site. It comes with a little cat charm too. Ostensibly, it's "just" a cardboard box, but it's a cardboard box that you can't get anywhere else ;)
But probably one for the MH hardcore TBH
i've been keeping my eye out for anything resident evil related, except for the wii game because i sold my wii :(....... i'm an idiot
Edit: dead rising 2 is gonna be released on the 25 of september, maybe one of them!
I wouldnt mind a massive cut out of Ryu lol

Where did you hear that? DR2 is definitely not going to be released on the 25th Sept

Dude, Protip: when I was younger I used to go to game shops and ask to reserve the cutouts/stands when they were out of use. Most are happy to keep something back for you, as they'll just throw it out anyway.
I got some neat stuff that way, although I missed out on an awesome Alpha 3 cutout 9__9 someone beat me to it!
Not sure if you knew that, but hey :D
You should know it's not earlier, Hammeh :p
In fact, I should test your Capcom knowledge: what Capcom game is going to be released on 25th Sept?
Resident Evil darkside-chronicles
*waves* lol

Do our own community members not check the very site this forum is on?! ;O
Spyborgs, Soop, Spyborgs. :P
Spyborgs, the release schedule came to the wrong queue :(
The wish for it to be earlier was a personal one. Nothing quite like zombies and dressing up combined!

Can never find it; there's a thread in the "all games" section, but it's not recently updated.
I could have used it for the quiz giveaway O__O
Chris fugurine to complete my collection of re5 figurines
Resident evil 5 for ps3
And last but not least signed copy of MHFU for psp :)

There's an independant game shop in Great Yarmouth that sells there posters and cutouts and the big game box things.
Gamestation said DR2 was coming out on 25/09/09. I was kinda suprised.
I laughed pretty damn hard when I saw this:
http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Action/Adventure/~r342214/Dead-Rising-2/?s=dead%20rising%202
Posted it on Twitter and Ben (Capcom PR) also had a good laugh at it.
I guess its a rough estimate with the date getting more accurate per month, but due to vast majority of games, they can't update them as fast or as well.

Placeholders are nothing new. Shops and sites do it all the time. One reason is that by giving an early date such as this, they expect people to come in and preorder the title, possibly putting money down on it as well. This ensures that there is a pull factor which could also work to the developer's advantage as well (quickfire interest in the title, word spreads, etc.).
Bit misleading I know, but that's down to the consumers not going by official news and instead, simply jumping the gun. ;]
Unless it's straight from Capcom's mouth, don't believe any date you see. This applies to any date and any game.
You'll find a lot of placeholder dates as the last Friday of every month in online retail. This is generally because confirmed dates take a little while to come, and the sites have to have something up unless they have functionality to just display as "available for pre-order".
In DR2's case, end September is a guess for a Christmas release that would get more accurate as updates come I think ;)
It's between the devil and the deep blue sea. You can either get up early (if slightly inaccurate) information so customers can see the product and pre-order, or wait until everything's confirmed but be uncompetitive and have lots of customer queries.
Ratchet has it spot on - take all online release dates with a pinch of salt unless they've been confirmed by publishers :D

They should really stick that on every page of the website, it'd sure cut through the nonsense.
But damn, yeah I forgot about the placeholders thing, they do it with multi-format titles as well, even if its not guaranteed for release, Dead Rising PC version for example.
