View Full Version : Cute things your partner says
My girlfriend asked me what mezzotan means when we were listening to the Black-eyed Peas song which mentions mazeltov. I lol'd.
Not because she didn't know what it meant, but the fact that she completely mispronounced it 10 seconds after hearing it :)
I don't have a partner, never have and probably never will...
...Does this mean I can make something up? :P
Sure!
I hope it's not in a bad way btw when you say you might never

My other half is helping our friend with the marketing for his band (awesome btw!) and he mentioned that they were playing a gig at The Deaf Institute in Manchester.
She thought he was actually playing a gig for deaf people.
Other things she has done... She once said about something at work "I can't do that, it sets a presidents!", she once asked me "When is November the 5th this year?" (i think she meant what day it fell on, but i helpfully pointed out that this year it will be between the 4th and the 6th :P
Can't we rename this the other bragging thread? :p
My 'ex'(I hate using that word) didn't really say many cute things looking back. It was more actions. Mostly clumsiness. I'm not trying to be mean and stuff, we're friends, it's all cool.

lmao! Bless :)
I got to think of some more. I'll call them "Donna-isms", as she has already defined a "me-ism" as an unintentionally backhanded compliment. (example "You're really pretty sometimes")
Let's see. There was one time when I was using her WiFi on her phone to browse something, and she tried to claw it back off me shouting "no, it's going to cost loads!!!" After the laughter wore off I explained that WiFi was nothing to do with her phone bill. She really thought it was <3

This is kind of unrelated, but you reminded me of something years ago. I was on the phone to my then-girlfriend, and while we were talking, I drew a cat on the phonebook, and then a speech bubble saying "Oh YEAH!".
The next thing I said was "My cat is an oh-yeah". She laughed, and from then on, anything or anyone held in esteem was deemed to be an oh-yeah.
Still use it :)

Think how much sense that would have made if you'd said it about 8 years ago O__O
