On the back of God of War Chains of Olympus manual if advertises God of War 3 as coming soon. :?: :dead: :)
Its a bit early for sony to advertises it as coming soon then :s .
unless they are going to surprise us.
I have a lot of money at the moment, theyre selling both God of War and God of War 2 on PS2.. should I go and buy those? or switch with Kingdom Hearts or Canis Canem Edit.. I was thinking of buying all of them, but I only have enough money for 2. I hate RPG/long adventure games, I like action/boss battle games. who 2 games of those 4 games should I buy? been a long time since I bought a PS2 game.

Im about to buy all of them very soon.. I saw the God of War: CoO (GOW spells Gears of War, because that game is KICK ASS) review on gametrailers.. its looking awesome. cant wait to play some DMC rip-off (only more boring because it has sand and trolls) on my PSP.
Im pretty sure God of War 3 will be a huge title for PS3 after few years. I can see into the future.. 2009 will be a bad year for gaming.. but it will be saved at the end by God of War 3. Im so correct.

hm.. Ive been playing God of War 2 all day, or should I say my friend.. I played a little then watched him play it because somethings in the game were too hard for me, and hes a hack n slash pro and a DMC pro.
all I can say, its NOT a DMC rip-off like I said.. the action is less cwaaaazy like DMC, this is more like run-to-the-head-of-the-boss-and-stab-him-in-the-eye kind of game. and the soundtrack is different.. like more orchestrad soundtrack.
anyway, I like DMC more and Id rather stick with that series.
God of war 2 is hell of alot harder than any dmc game i worked my balls off trying to complete the game.
Is God of War 2 THAT good?
I love the DMC series and I really enjoyed GOW1 but I didnt play it focusing on the story whatsoever. I had music on loud and skipped any cutscene I could. It was very hack-n-slash and required very little skill aside from the occassional tough baddie, QTE or block tactic...it seems the harder modes require alot more focus n skiill but like HumanIce said - definitely no DMC.
Im definitely gonna pick up Chains of Olympus, hopefully by the time the PAL version is released GOW2 will have gone down significantly in price - cause I cant find it cheap anywhere...anybody feel free to point me in the direction of a bargain.

i still think GoW 1 was the best. i thought 2 was meh!! ... oh and imho, ninja gaiden 2 will eat GoW 3 alive >=p

I think the God of War series is always the same. Part 1 was only that good cause it was the beginning of it, the Gameplay n Setting was also very good. But GoW2 looks like a Copy n Paste of GoW1, with a few more things and another location. Still a great game tho, but nothin really new. Chains of Olymphus is also nothin brand new, but its the first time its been brought to the PSP. Its has the best Graphics on the Handheld so far, the controls r good, but like i said, its just another location and it plays before part 1. + The game is finished in 5-6 hours. I hope GoW3 will be more individually and has an extended gameplay than the others.
naa, MHF/2 have the best graphics on the PsP!! :p
i just thought that GoW 1 felt more epic than 2.

GOW chains of olympus will be the first PSP game to use the full processing power of the PSP as until now the processor had been capped buy Sony.

games like Starwars battlefront on PSP, I really dont wanna buy it, but Ive seen videos of it and it has one of the slowest framerate Ive seen in a long time from a video game (the other one is Duke Nukem Zero Hour on N64... REALLY lame framerate)

Every single PS3 game, most certainly games like God of War 3, comes on a Blu-Ray disc. There is no if.

777 is right Blu-Ray has nothing to do with graphics! Blu-Ray gives bigger storage space for the DATA .
If the games came on standard DVD9 it would still have the same graphics.
All the gsmes are on Blu-Ray but no game out on PS3 at the moment surpass the capacity DVD9 yet.
How much space are they gaing to use on Blu-Ray? Dose it realy matter?
MGS 4 will and no doubt many others will in time.
Blu-Ray size is bigger but for now its sacrificed read speed compared to DVD9 thats why its best to install games on PS3 , but read speedswill increase in time.
So please stop spoiling topics all 777 did was point out Blu-Ray has nothing to do with the graphics.
Indeed, both Spikeand 777 were right there.
In fact the disc has NADA to do with the processing power. Matter of fact, I dont see what point you were even making comparing GoW on PSP to PS3 processing power. Especially considering UMDs have a limited capacity and framerate/no. of enemies on screen/textures and details/and tasks performed each clock cycle have SWEET F.A. to do with the disc - its the hardware.
For some reason (apparently due to battery consumption) the PSP was capped at 222mhz rather than pushing it to its limits (333mhz) and GoW NEEDED that extra clockspeed...especially if you bother to play the demo of the game you will experience terrible moments of slowdown. If you download the game and play the ISO/CSO then you will also experience these same moments of framedrops apparently.
Its unlikely the PS3 will experience framedrop very often unless developers push the PS3 so damn far that its got too much to handle. Even MGS4 isnt a testament of the PS3s power - its simply a matter of uncompressed audio taking up a helluva lot of space. Think how many hours of cutscenes/codec calls there are - and then sound effects and what not; now theyre uncompressed even a few minutes of sound will be a few hundred meg.
It doesnt have the dynamic sound physics that they wanted, it doesnt have the visual quality that they originally hoped for...but its still going to look, sound and feel great. Hopefully the next game by Kojima Productions will be of an even higher caliber: much like the stepup from MGS2 to MGS3.
As for God of War 3...expect there to be MORE enemies, more detail, more background action and things flying about.
