Hi. Im pretty new to this. Resident Evil I mean. Ive read some posts here, trying to avoid spoilers. I normally play games like Haunting Ground, Project Zero series, Silent Hill 3.
When I registered at the old forum I said that even thought the RE games seemed to be good games when it came to concept and graphics, theyre not my personal choice. I sure wasnt going to buy a shoot up zombies game.
But now it appears, I have to eat my words. I bought RE4 and I love it! Why did I decide to buy it? One simple reason, I saw a picture of Leon! But the game itself is great. Though its hard. Im a girl, in my twenties, I have never played RE b-4 and the only shooting experience I have is from SH3. The ganados are everywhere! Im not used to this, I just want to run away and hide.
So why am I rambling on? Oh, I need help. Spoiler free, plz. I was doing OK right until the stupid cabin fight started to mess things up for me. And thanks to the ganados in the cabin and the chainsaw-sisters-path Im almost out of ammo, have no health items left and with a hit ratio of only 60% I now have to face that Mendez freak. Any tips on combat/gameplay strategies and how to save ammo are more than welcome. I have been so near giving up and I play on easy!
I so want infinite ammo.
When i got stuck on the cabin part and mendez kept on chasing me i just kepted on running around and found items like bullets herbs and granades but i didnt bother i just kept as far as i could i shot the sh@t into mendez and he kept coming so i ran to the bottom end and shot more and i kept doing it until i beat him.

Anyways, do not think of Resident Evil as a shoot-em up. If you ever get your hands on the older games, its more centered around puzzles, survival, jumpy moments and a fantastic storyline.
I just finished resident evil 4 and after the credits it said that you can now buy/purchase infinite launcher and matilda from the merchant so i started a new game and i goed to the first merchant but i didnt see infinite launcher or matilda on the buy screen. can anyone help?
You need to load up your finished save. That is assuming that you saved as soon as you finished the game.

If you got stuck as you said, restart the game again, and try not to use alot of healt and when you shoot, shoot properly so you wont waste ammo. Its a very nice game, to explore.

Yeah, I have thought about doing that. Restarting I mean. Why not, I really enjoyed the adventure... before the cabin fight. That takes a lot of ammo. Esp shotgun ammo. It is the shotgun that saves me every time, so when I only have handgun and TMP ammo Im in trouble. I sold the handgun and bought the red9 instead, was that a stupid thing to do? Should I hold on to the punisher? Seriously, Im clueless when it comes to guns.
And maybe I should take the el gigante route instead of the ganado route. Now I even know how to kill him. I didnt know you had to cut of the parasite with the knife. After the waterfalls I bought a rocket launcer and killed him with that:lol: But shouldnt the huge rock you shoot down kill him? It landed right on top of the stupid ogre, it didnt do anything to him!!!

Finding the older RE games will be quite hard, as there PS1 and will only be on like Ebay and Amazon, So buy the gamecube remakes of the first 3
they are the best games and are quite easy to find

There was a whole bunch of servers. To me, Outbreak and Outbreak File #2 doesnt even compare to the other games (excluding 4).

it had its fair share of problems.
4 people to a game, can only communicate with the right analog stick and a bunch of commands that are programmed in...and the servers had less than 100 people (European servers). Thats why it went offline, because no body played it.
It was average. File 1 was better than File 2 in my opinion, but File 1 never got online play in Europe.
File 2 was kinda cool cause it brought back RE2/3s police station and had a great last level too with numerous endings depending on how long you waited to escape with others.

the easiest way to kill that mendez mutant is to keep the rocket launcher you can find. as you stand in front of him, feed him with that tasty rocket and hes done in nothing. the rock just stuns el gigante, so youve got a bit time to run into the next area. and in the cabin i can recommend to shoot the head of them. that saves a lot of ammo. i, for myself, have played it at least ten times, 5 times on easy, 3 times on medium and twice on hard. the hard level really got onto my nerves, especially in the room where you or ashley have to handle the crank. i was low on ammo and health, almost nothing... but i made it!
when i started playing resident evil outbreakfile#2 i had every other scenario ready exept end of the road and i played trough all other scenarios butt still i cant play end of the road. can anyone help??

You have to complete all of the other scenarios before End Of The Road is unlocked for you to play.
