View Full Version : PC SF4 "Fatal Error : An unhandled error occurred. (-1)"
Hi,
I'm new in this forum.
I searched everywere and did not find the solution of my problem.
When I play SF4 online, sometimes not everytime, there is an error message "Fatal Error : An unhandled error occurred. (-1) " and shut down the game.
Here is my configuration for my Asus PC :
windows XP
Processeur Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T8100
3072 MB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 9500M GS 512 MB
I do not know if I did not search well but I can not find a solution.
Thanks.
Hi,
I don't have any error message since I put Internet on cable connection.
I was playing on a wifi system before.
I don't know if there is a relation...but the fact is there is no more fatal error message.

Hello,
I have find the solution of this problem.
The probleme came from asus motherboard with nforce chipset.
Try to update your drivers.
On XP i have a lot of errors in system logs when i'm playing at this game, and with the same pc on Windows Seven (7) i have your error.
So for windows Seven i have put the vista driver for my nforce chipset and now, i have a lot of error on my system logs, but the game works !!! :hop:
I have try this solution on a similar pc and the issue is same, so i think it's a good solution for this game (I haven't problem with other games ^^).
Edit : The problem come from the controler disk.
Hello,
I update my drivers as you said and it works.
Thanks a lot!

Hi guys, new to the forums, got dramas with the above prob. It seems to only happen when i chose zangief. when i do, the game crashes with the above error.
IF zangief makes an appearance as a character u have to fight in the arcade mode it also crashes, same error msg...infact, if zangief makes an appearance anywhere in the game, it crashes....
I have an ASUS N53SV LAPPY
SANDY BRIDGE, I72630QM DUAL GRFX (INTEL 3000 AND GT 540M 2GIG)
8GIG RAM. 750 GIG HDD.
I have tried updating video drivers
rolling back video drivers, updated direct x.
updated windows live
installed the Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243)
updated Games for Windows Software V3.5
is there something else im missing???
If u think u guys have fixed this prob, try selecting zangief..... see what happens....
What is happening?????
