Hello.Just want to know, How many of you will actually get MH3
And also would you prefer a actual Next Gen version
They arent making a PS3 version so stop bitching about it. I will buy it, japanese version first, then the european version if its released, then the PSP adaption that they will make.
well, Capcom havent said no to a PS3 version ... yet >=p
but if it doesnt come eventually, i would settle for a Wii version.

They basically did when they moved development over FROM the PS3 to the Wii because development costs are simply too high.
I will get it.
Its not next gen its current gen.
Next gen is Ps4 XB720 and nintendo Poo or what ever they call them.
The Wii is a current gen just like the Ps3 and 360 even though it lacks the power.
Power and graphics anrnt everything.

Hey Michell, Im not sure who said it but some company said recently that the Playstation3 isnt expensive to develop for as Blu-ray disc cost the same as a regular dvd and Sonys DEV-KIT cost LESS than the wiis so its bullshit that whole expensive crap, Nintendo bribed them why else would they move to a console away from their main audience...

well for me, if mh3 doesnt come to ps3 then i must buy Wii for only that game bcouse i just dont like Wii thats all there is to it.
But hey if it comes to ps3 im going to get an heart attack wich is going to cost me so much that i wont get that mh3! lol hope not, eh?
Well anyways im just chilling and hoping for the best!
Theres no need to worry, just chill! if it wont get to ps3 buy Wii and if u dont like the console, buy it only for the reason to play mh3 with your friends;)

Well to name a few: The legend of Zelda series, the super Mario series, the donkey kong series, Banjo Kazooie/tooie(sp?) and perfect dark (the original). Theres heaps more but thats all i can be bothered naming, all where huge games with excellent graphic for there time. Also if you plan to preach about the controls next, it will be multi compatible as SSBB is, you will be able to use the Wii-mote with the nun chuck, the Wii controller or the game cube controller.

I would also like to see or hear a source on this, because it would seem there full of ****.

doesnt it cost the same to develop for the Wii? ... (thats what i heard anyway!)
and nobody from Capcom have said the developed code for the PS3 has been scrapped for good either! ... its just on hold (what ever that means >=/ )

No.
Console development cost do vary but to get a decent looking game on Ps3 the cost is not cheap wy do you think many early ps3 games were poor ports from the 360. It was cheaper to re-code the games than develope them from the ground up.
As more games are developed for the PS3 and better understanding of the hardware cost of development will fall.
The Wii is very similar to the GC in hardware and how it runs.
Its not only that though the Wii and Ps3 came out around the same time and the Wii sales have out shone every thing.
Ps3 sales around 9 million
Wii sales around 21 million with shortages on supply quite often.

Its not about the cost of the media or devkits (and BTW Nintendos cartridges are the most expensive medium to make games for), its about the man-hours required to produce a title: for example, if you double the texture resolution, it takes artists four times as long to produce them, which means youre already spending 4x the amount in artist salaries for what equates to the same amount of game play time - youre not going to look at the texture for any longer...
Thanks for explaining that to someone.

when is it coming out?
well estimates for the japanese version are around two and a half years. so add 6-8 months on for the translated version.

i personaly think that the most likely console to get Monster Hunter after the Wii will be the Xbox 360 because 1) it had the highest software sales of any console 2) From what i can tell its easier to develope for than the PS3.
*off-topic*
I have monster hunter on PSP is is worth getting monster hunter 2? How much of a difference is there? Thanks
