Ok so i was looking through xbox live this morning and noticed that its on sale for 1200pts. and i was just woundering, after everything ive seen and heard about it, maybe i should get it and give it ago, in preperation for NG2.
So i was woundering if anyone else had played this game, and can give me an honest opinion about the game/series its self.
I hear that the demo for the second game is appearing on xbox live soon, it might be a good idea to wait for that before spending any money/ left over points on the original.
I cant remember if its black that i played, but i played one of the ninja gaiden games on XBOX. It was a great game, tho the boss battles where incredibly difficult. Id recommend hiring the original first and seeing if you like the gameplay.
Ninja Gaiden Black for Xbox is a great game, but Ninja Gaiden Sigma (the remake for PS3) is really stunning and overcomes graphically the original so much that it seems older than it really is. The playing itself remains intact. So Ninja Gaiden 2 will be more stunning.
So if you dont mind old graphics, Ninja Gaiden Black is a great game, but if you do, wait for Ninja Gaiden 2.
So i downloaded it today and i must say wow, the controls/combat are bit weird to get used, its more fast paced than DMC IMO. Overall i think its ok, abit challenging, but cool none the less. Its weird that i cant connect to xbox live when playing it though....

Its definitely one of the harder games Ive played, but nothing will ever trump DMC3 in terms of difficulty.
Its a great game - I recommend the PS3 remake Sigma over Black though. Theres simply more content, more boss battles and some cutscenes become playable. Overall, its a better package.
The combat is probably faster than Devil May Cry but unfortunately its no where NEAR as deep. That being said, Ninja Gaiden 2 may remedy these problems.

I would go for sigma but i dont own a ps3, and yeah ive noticed that theres not much depth in the combat system but overall it is pretty cool, im still having trouble pulling off combos, the ones that go XYXXXXX etc. for some reason i only do the XY....ive tried to time it and what not but still nothing, weird....

in one word ... YESSSSSS!!!
i love NG, but havent completed any version of it, tbh. but its one of those games you end up coming back to. in comparison, yes NGS is slightly tougher (unless you become a ninja dog) ... but NGB is a very good game all the same. :)
