PSP Duowan posted these 3 screens. Still no official announcement, but it looks like Capcom developing DMC4 PSP. :horray:

I very much doubt that there is any truth to this, based on the lack of certain buttons on the PSP console and any prior hints. The console versions require the use of every button (irrelevant of how important each one is). For example, how can you include insta-rev? That requires the use of either of the bottom shoulder buttons.
Also take in to consideration the knock that this game's quality would take. After the PC version being released (arguably the superior version of them all), a new version is rather pointless; especially a new and inferior version of a near two year old game. A brand new PSP title or Devil May Cry 5 would prove more sensible. There is next to no interest in Devil May Cry 4 anymore anyway.
Lastly, these screens could have been done on the PC version by taking screen grabs. How? Lowering the resolution and quality (or even easier if you have a shoddy computer that can't run the PC version properly).
Note that these are my reasons as to why it wouldn't make sense. If I'm wrong, whatevs. I just fail to see the positives that this rumour could generate if true.
The Devil May Cry for PSP has been offically canceled.
For "PC at minimum details"... we will see it soon, time to install it again and do the thing I fear: set the worst detail available.
But I think it will be similar to that.

Looks pretty legit to me, but I am not holding my breath. It would be easy to create screenshots similar to that using the PC version, as Carbo mentioned.
We'll just have to wait and see.
There will be no PSP DMC...
There will be no PSP DMC...
You work for Capcom now:eek:
I know the last one got canned but that does not mean that anther DMC won't hit the PSP. Time will tell.
You work for Capcom now:eek:No, Inafune is my uncle...

The video... I don't know why I resized it from 640x360 to 480x727 since Youtube change it back... with all its poor quality...

if it is true, I'd be over the moon! Portable Nero FTW!
if it is true, I'd be over the moon! Portable Nero FTW!If my grandfather has whell, he'd be an handcart.
My video it's the proof. Watch the point I've highlited in the description.
The only reason I'm not too sure about the screenshots, is by looking at the fire effects. Traditionally, PSP developers haven't been using 32bit bitmaps [with alpha channels] to get such a perfect fire effect. It's normally a 1bit diffuse map, which means it's either solid or transparent. [Or you could make the entire object semitransparent in codes]
However, they are PSP screenshots, it must be very cleverly made. The game is quite big, and if they could afford spending memory on effects like that, it makes me wonder how.

Yea it does look like it could be for psp (or not) graphicwise from your video but no way that it would be able to hold it.

What he said.
To be completely fair about this, I'm not going to believe anything until we get official information on it, as far as I'm concerned, anyone can downgrade the PC version or alter the look via an emulator and then slap a magazine logo in the corner.
Its just very suspicious that all the information that has appeared so far isn't new, when the first thing developers of PSP/PS2/Wii ports do is to produce screens of altered or new material to show the level of the game, Capcom did this with Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, a graphical downgrade proves nothing, as well as being direct screenshots, this isn't like a normal "leak" of information that shows the spread of a magazine article itself.
And even if it is real, I'm not all that eager about it, I've completed Devil May Cry 4 numerous times, unless they've made lots of additions to make it worth a purchase, I'll let it pass until it's so cheap that it doesn't matter.

No altering, no emulator...

Umm, so why does the video say this:
Here a video that shows Devil May Cry 4 ported on PSP.
Just kidding, this is a video of Devil May Cry 4 for PC at its minimum detail, just like those picture that are passed off as PSP screenshot.
Those screenshot can be seen on 0:44 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STxA2EUumLc#), 2:38 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STxA2EUumLc#) and 3:20 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STxA2EUumLc#)
Although the quality of some screen could be similar for a PSP game, the rest it's far over the possibility of the Sony handled, expecially those parts with a lot of particle system.
I've not altered the game...

We aren't going to see DMC4 for PSP. If Capcom are going to do anything, I'll bet they're working on a new DMC title.
The most it could ever be would be a prelude to a quasi-sequel, say, a part of an entirely new PSP game with a chapter covering important events of DMC4...
...Its a push, I know, but I'd like to consider it a possibility.

I'm still pretty sure this is not true. I think we'll hear more at TGS, either way.

It's fake. Let's go home people.
