View Full Version : Which was your favorite monster on MH online?
So my favorite monster was Lao because he was the only one you could not kill him so fast like ian and los(with headlocking...:s ).Kutty and gypsi were the funniest monster because they looked so funny if they were near the death and run away then :d .So now your favorites :P
i would say , hunting Lao with ... you!! ... hey did you become hunter no.1 for lao?
but other than that hmmm, gyp was funny to hunt. especially with noobs who didnt know about his acting skillz >=D
and i used to love hunting Khezu as well.
i was nr.1 for lao...750 kills xD

most players will think im crazy but 2 me there was nothing better that slaying a Plesioth i loved that big fish stick:lol:
i think i only hunted plessy with either you or erm ... little_horus (i think, i cant remember >=/)

Never played online but the funniest offline experience was probably Rathalos! Altough after playing about 60 hours i still find Kut-ku being one of the more difficult ones, not HP/dmg wise but i find it more hard to predict :O

I always loved Plesioth more then any other monster, it took care of the noobs and always put up a decent fight (except when it decided it didnt like being above ground.)

But then i made the King Lobster+, so i was in love with Plesioth, it wasnt so hard when u knew what u did! :d

Diablos was best monster of MH Imo...

I wont start on how i think you might need some help with those thoughts in your head, but Auroros and Borealis where the lao armors, you just need + parts to make them. They where the strongest armors in the game as well.

I know they are the Lao armours, but there are not like an armour that looks like Lao, and Auroros wasnt so cool!
and borealis and auroros armours wasnt the best, was it? i think it was the Dragon Armours!
Yes, they where, Auroros and Borealis had 25 def. +2 thunder, fire and water res. where as dragon had 24 def. +1 thunder, fire and water res. not to mention dragon armors where harder to make, more expensive and in 3/4 cases looked worse then the lao armors.

Garuga...hard? i killed him in 2 rounds with no deaths the first time i fought him, and i hadnt done any guild hall quests.by HR5 he lasted about as long as a rathalos, if that. This topic is about the ONLINE version, on the PS2, not freedom so garuga doesnt count.

nice work on that first spot in the rankings SILENTK others didnt manage to kick you from the lead or was it?
for me it was Diablos in my firrst year on MH as nimrook the last monster i killed a lot for XP was capture a kuttie altrou Los would be better but i wasnt that good in locking but i saw some dudes who did that in seconds like Elite_Slash(wind) hehe:p

I ,ean, it was fun when there were ppl who knew what they were doing! it wasnt fun when you were the only enough experienced 1 to make all the dirty work, and lose all your Sonic Bombs :cry:
i loled more when two players threw sonic bombs at THE SAME TIME!!! >=D
i used to use the horn method. that way while his head was stuck, you could chop the tail. then use the sonics to chop the horns.

Lmao! i played 1 year offline before i got online.
I discoverd the block move first time when i were online.
Offline was the best for me, no Monster could hit me after a while and the only weapon i used was Siegmund.
Dont ask me how i got that crazy, i dont know it xD
Rathalos is/was my favorite Monster apart of Kushal.
I even got my name from Rathalos =)
It was very very annoying when he flew away when i started to attack him.
So i just thought.. hes nothin without his wings --> Redwings

Thank you very much :d You re not that bad either i played quite often with u, but in the end of MH i was rarely online. We got to make a comeback on PSP or on Wii when we get em :)

MHP2G has an normal online mode so no xlink kai and that means records.

Just imagine how great the bow controls will be on Wii. You run into an area, u see a monster - pressin Z to go into aiming mode, u aim with the remote and shoot with A. ( Not the real controls but thats how i imagine it :d ) Just incredible.
that sounds good, shame im crap with ranged weps. hopefully theyll make hammers even more powerfull, they where the best in freedom 2/portable 2nd, onslaught hammer and diablos chaos broker could own anything XD

I still hate hammers lol. Bows were my favorite weapon. Very strong and ur not close to the enemy. If ur a 4 man team, 2 do the melee stuff n 2 r arrowing it to death :d
i hate the katanas, their the new fan boy wepon, GS, SnS, DS, Lances and hammers are all better but when the next online comes out everyone will use the longswords

Yea maybe but some of em r not that bad. Still, my favorite melee weapon in 2 is Plesioth Azure Blade. Nothin has a elemental defense against water except Plesioth.
really? i read somewhere that lao was resistent to water as well, which seemed pretty stupid to me since hes a red dragon, and red dragon to me = fire

yea maybe some more but 75% has no defense against water. Water is like a neutral element in my eyes. Nothin is really weak to it, so is nothin really defensive against it.
shame theres not more water weapons, personally i want a good thunder hammerthunder is probly 2nd or 3rd best element (depends if youhave dragon element really, is anything resistant to dragon?)

Basa is weak to fire lol. And if i remember correctly Grav is only weak to dragon when his shell is broken.

i alwaysfound gravs shell hard to break on the psp with anything other then SnS, dont know why, it was always really easy on PS2

Killed em with Plesi Azure Blade. The 8* Gravs too, but then i clusted em, n when i got addicted to the bows, i never changed my weapon so i killed him with Bow. 8* Grav was a long battle, with any weapon.
yep, me and my mate failed twice because we ran out of time, then he used his bow and i used my onslaught hammer, we almost failed that time as well ^^

Ofcourse the reason was ur hammer ^^. In MHP2 there was 1 downloadable quest ( only Japan i think ) which i never could beat.... Double Black Grav in Arena. Its just IMPOSSIBLE to beat them, its an insane quest lol. But it was fun :)

Water too. But i think he is weak to fire aswell, cant remember right but i used often fire weapons against him. Not that i look at the elemental stuff but i just like Blazing Falchion ^^

hammers=noobs so true (but thats my opinion)
My fav was basa quickest way was sns fire or dragon element
but basa isnt weak to fire or dragon in MH iirc.
I killed many basas testing the quickest weapon and best element and fastest was blazin falchion and quickest of all was black dragon sword and shield.
I saw often hunters killing bassa whith Dragon Sword + Shield i dint realise it could kill that quick i think its because the high combo rate and speed compared too the time needed for 3hit lance

kut ku is not difficult at all they are so easy to kill i kill them under 2 minutes:!:
Thats what everyone does m8 ^^
lol to be honest an average time for a kut-ku is just a little over a minute (excluding the time it takes to get to it)

MH online, the dual Basa quest of course! With my trusty BDSpear, and Auroros armour. Me on one, 3 on the other :D. Constantly typing lol at them getting stunned by the vespoid in the other area.
The only thing that matches that was the first time I did Lao, and when me and my mates used to Melee fatalis to death, suck teh h4mm3r n00b, vespoid and hornateur armour ftw ^_^.
