View Full Version : Nero or Dante
Who do you perfer on dmc4? Dante or Nero? Just wondering as i have just got to the bit where you are Dante and to be honest i am a bit annoyed as for most of my combos i use the devil trigger and now i cnat use it. But i do have to admit the styles are kinda cool being able to switch straight away rather than in dmc3 sp you had to change at the statue.

At the moment, Ive been spending a lot more time with Nero, as its easier to make his combos more fluid. However, Ive also loved using Dante, though I NEVER use Gilgamesh or Lucifer - only Yamato and the Rebellion. Personally though - its way too hard to spend HEAPS of time with one and then none with another, so yeah, I reckon you should evenly spread out time as not to get used to one over the other.
I like playing with Nero, his devil bringer makes linking combos together all that much easier (you dont have to run after the mob when youve hit them across the ground) and the buster moves he uses on the bosses allow for some high damage. When I switch over to Dante I do find his missions are easier though, he seems to me to be pretty overpowered in the moves/ combinations he can pull off and the way he links styles. I notice this when it grades me me at the end of the mission, it could be familiarity with the character or the fact that he is OP. Anyone else notice this? Its probably just in my head :p
Nero..better combos thanks to the devil bring..many people dont Like Nero, because they dont know him as much as they know Dante..and for the fact that Dante has better sarcastic one-liners.
I still find Nero much easier and his missions better shame Dante doesnt have a devil bringer

Neros missions are easier, but as a character, Ive been impressed by Nero. I expected him to annoy me, but he didnt.
Dantes missions are more of a challenge, and Reuben Langdon did a good job of aging Dante, eliminating the adolescence in his voice from DMC3
Dante for me,
i dont find Nero annoying tho, it is just that Dante is more powerful and has more moves and weapons.
I still cant understand why dante has all this weapons for just 6 missions from 12 to 18(if i remember well.)
Yer that is a question lol you would have thought that the new weapons would have gone to nero and some of the older ones went to Dante as he has a sort of classic feel to him.
forza dante  he is stronger he is faster he is cool and he is dante:devil:
Dante rocks! HE is the one that invented Devil May Cry; Nero is too childish doenst mean he is not good though
i like nero because killin enimies is easier with his devil bringer but dante has a better devil drigger and u can switch styles staright away and the sword yamato which u get later on is way stronger with dante than with ero so i dont really know lol :)

Dante, defintely nero may have the hand but Dante has EBONY and IVORy and has cooler moves AND when he goes devil he looks sick.
Im gonna be original and say that in DMC4, I prefer Nero over Dante. Dante in this game was far too stiff compared to 3 and 1.

I like Dante, Now that I can mix styles with combos, its incredibly fun.

Nero... or Dante... hmmmmmm.... :dead:
Reminds me of a question my bf asked me recently; if you had to pick what you wanted most, which would you choose: the Nissan 350Z or DMC 4. I said the car - Ive already got DMC 4 so that was sorta easy. Nero or Dante? >SLAMS HEAD INTO DESK<
I found it difficult to play with Dante but then hes got his quirks, I prefer Rebellion and the classic Ebony & Ivory, I dont really play with Yamato (not even with Nero, because the Red Queen is just oh so much cooler). I love Dantes sense of humour (thats what I perceive his sarcasm as anyhow, I mean the cut scene with Agnus in the church place was hilarious). I prefer his voice in this game rather than the previous games (note, Ive only seen spoilers of the previous games, I dont actually have them), and Im impressed at how they made him older but still mastered the art of making him look GOOD. I mean, aiaiaiaiai.
Then theres Nero who is a bit uptight compared to Dante but hes got his own funny remarks (the taunts are ridiculously cool), although Ive got to admit his constant slam dunk when Im stuffing up demons would have gotten to me if he didnt have the devil trigger going for him. Im still trying to decide whether hes a wuss or not when it comes down to the crying scenes, I mean, come on Nero, grow some balls dammit, youve turned all demon and THEN you break down and cry? Whats that all about? At least Dante had good reason to shed a tear in the past because he lost his brother.
When the fight scene comes where Nero and Dante are at it, I found it very annoying that Dante kept copying my moves - I pull the Blue Rose on him and he pulls out Ebony & Ivory and puts about a dozen holes in me - I use the Red Queen and charge and Dante decides hell just jump out of my way so all Im slicing and dicing is air. But then when I go all devil trigger on him, hahaha, Dante goes >thud, thud, thud< on the ground. So... Id have to say I like Dantes character, but I prefer Neros weapons and combos. Ah. Never could make up my mind.....:|

i would say Nero because he has only 1 weapon and 1 gun and lots combos you can perform i mostly like his exceed and with a bit practice you can do instant revving and makes it more fun to play with Nero ;)
dont get me wrong though everybody says Dante is over powert its true for some part but once you can get everything out of Nero you will see what im talking about.
