Hey Xbox Player,

My name is Mike from the Xbox 360 Account and Billing Team.


I am here to talk to you about a report we got from a player from the Xbox community stating the account your playing is stolen now we do not know if this is true or is he not telling the truth, but we take account
stealing very serious. To prove your full ownership of the account your playing we will need some security information so we can confirm this is yours account please replay to this email with the information
we need please.

•Your Windows Live Email and Password:
•The serial on the back of your xbox 360:

•When did you create your account near the date:


Please provide the information above and replay to us once we got this information we will match it with our records and we will email you if anything will happen in the case in the mean time you can still
play your xbox and login to your account if we find it is stolen we would have to give it back to the rightful owner. Like we said before please replay with the information above to this email it take matter of 24 hours.
If you do not replay with the information we will banned the account.

This email or some simular are making their way into peoples inbox.

Don't be fooled it is a fake

If you receive a email like this and your not sure what to do

i'm just disappointed because the guys who sent those emails got our email somehow, and this makes me a bit suspicious about the effective security of Microsoft's databases

You can get many Windows Live account directly from live.com

I have just a the email but the email is not registerd to a live account so to guess it's randam emails.

My guess is that it's sent to random addresses regardless of whether or not they're actually Xbox Live users.

I get emails talking about my Abbey bank account(which I don't have) and my car insuance(I'm 16) and all kinds of stuff.

I think they don't waste time to translate it.. if they do that, i think we (italians)will not even understand it XD
