Capcom US has confirmed it not being in April, but most likely later.

Yeah, can someone rally say what is official release date for PC but in Europe?
This really sucks balls. I was really happy for February 8th....................and then nothing. Only PS3 an X360.

I find this extremely strange as the MT Framework engine, upon which DMC4 is built on, is usually used on PCs first and then ported to consoles.

Perhaps some extra optimisation was needed? Either way, Im sure the wait will be worth it.

i emailed capcom europe just before the PS3 and 360 versions were released, asking about the PC verison, and all i got was the fact that it had been pushed back and the fact that a release date hasnt even been confirmed yet. i then emailed again after the PS3 and 360 versions were released, hoping that maybe they could offer some updated news, but to no avail.

however, i do find it very interesting that in the capcom release dates (http://capcom-europe.com/forums.aspx?g=posts&t=12) thread on this very forum, devil may cry 4 on the PC isnt even listed, not even with a TBC date. they better not make a U-turn and decide that a PC version wont be released afterall.

and what i dont get is the fact that the game was DEVELOPED on a PC. it ws made on a PC and then ported onto the PS3 and 360, so why is it that the PC version is still waiting to be released? as it was developed on the platform it would have required less work than the PS3 and 360 versions to complete. i think that capcom most likely failed to follow-through and made a conscious decision to leave the PC version until last. and for that reason i have lost all respect for them. they promised that the PC version would be released with the others on the 8th february, but that wasnt right was it.

and then theres the fact that we dont even get a decent collectors edition in europe, not even on the PS3 and 360. everywhere else gets a bonus DVD and the first 4 episodes of the anime, but here in europe all we get is a crummy little artbook. screwing over europe? yes i think so. and screwing over the whole world in terms of the failed PC release.

Actually, Im willing to bet we didnt get the Anime due to licensing issues. As for the electronic content on the second disc? Probably a reason we dont know.

I doubt a PC release wont happen. Its got to, its simply to easy in terms of money to do and reaps HEAPS of benefits - mind you DMC was never really a PC game.

well we better get the anime at some point, whether its a DVD release or it being shown on TV or whatever.

yeah, i doubt that a PC release wouldnt happen too, as DMC3: SE, resi 4, etc have all had PC releases at some point. but the question is about when it will be - for example, DMC3 was on the PC over a year after the PS2 (although before DMC3: SE had a PS2 release), and resi 4 wasnt out on the PC until 2 years after the GC had it.

if DMC4 doesnt see a PC release in the next 6 months then itll be a moot point for me, as ill have a PS3 by then. as for everyone else here, thats another question, which is why i hope it doesnt take any longer.

like you said though, DMC was never really a PC game and id bet there are alot of gamers that would pass up the opportunity to play it because they havent got a gamepad for their PC. i cant really imagine playing DMC without a pad.

That being said, this is the second title to be developed for the PC by Capcom internally, and not out sourced. RE4, Onimusha 3 and Devil May Cry 3 were all developed by companies external to Capcom and as such they took a serious hike in quality (No game pad support for DMC3 was one of them.) As for Devil May Cry 4, its being optimised to its best for PC systems, just as Lost Planet was, by Capcom THEMSELVES, and no one else.

If you ask me, Id be willing to wait if it meant we got a better quality port.

but lost planet for the PC sucked ass - it required a much more powerful rig than it should have needed. if the same thing goes for DMC4 then thatll suck even more, especially as lost planet was never a game i was much interested in to start with.

Considering Lost Planet doesnt run as smoothly as DMC4, Id expect requirements larger than Lost Planet.

The engine the game is running on is visually beautiful - Im not expecting anything below Lost Planet in terms of requirements.

i read on the US capcom forum that DMC4 is based on the same engine as LP, so yeah, the requirements will be no less than that. which sucks cos i had problems running LP - unless the full game was better optimised than the demo as that was all i played. it put me off the full game to be honest.

gotta admit that i wasnt expecting low requirements for DMC4 cos like you said, its visually stunning. at least the PC version, on any graphical settings, will do until i get my hands on a PS3 later this year and can finally play the copy of DMC4 i have in my drawer at the moment.

Ive read on some forums and webpages that EU version will be released on April 1st. Is this another April fool joke or what?

Man Im getting sick and tired of those FPS and RTS games for PC. We need some quality console titles for PC. RE5 will be also good :D

So when is this famous release date for EU?

DMC 4 will head to PC in the summer though no date has been given.

It will run up to 120 FPS depending on PC specs
It will have enhanced graphics and additional content

Definetly, I dont want XBOX controller as only option available in this game, due to the Games for Windows
