Anyone have advice on how to solo rajang in the HR6 quests? Armor sets and preferably melee weapons would be very helpful! Information will be much appreciated
Ive never bothered soloing him since he never really interested me, but i would probably go with a set that has hot/cold resist and/or evade+2 (for weapons with roll, guard+2 for lance/gunlance) and a good ice weapon, Id recommend one but you havent stated your weapon preferences.

Well, rajang is weak against ice (so Im informed) and if its greatswords then my 3 picks would be. If you prefer element over raw damage crystallized tuna has white sharpness, 432 raw attack and 700 ice damage. If you want a raw weapon, seigmund (blue sharpness, 1056 attack, +10 defense, +15% affinity) is considered the best GS in the game, or daoras decimator (blue sharpness, 916 attach, 300 ice) would also take care of the job fairly well. Failing that you could always use the sleep bomb tactic i suppose, if hes still alive afterwards (I only used it on th village dual rajang) you could probably catch him.
ive never tried him solo eitha but, yea ull need a gd ice weapon and also try using lots of traps. shock traps are vry handy. u shud take 1 shock trap and 2 of each genprey fang and trap tool to make more along with book of combos 1,2 and 3. now go kick his ass :D
