Okay guys whilst recently talking with Chiara about new ways we could run the giveaways she is so fond of i asked if it would be possible to play games for prizes, she was very reseptive to the idea and told me if we as the community set it up she would gladly provide some prizes for us.
Okay so lets get it going shall we and see how things pan out.
I think a Resi 5 vs tournament would start us off well, so how about teams of two, knockout format Slayers on 360?
If everyone who is interested posts their team here before 07.00 pm on monday the 17th i will randomly generate the matchups. People will then have a few days to play their matches and post back the results. The winners will go through to the next round and get randomly drawn against new opponents. Things will continue until we have a champ and at that point the goodies will be dispensed.
As for match format im thinking best of three games, any characters permitted and as for the stages, those will be set by me and will change with each round of the tournament.
First stage will be the industrial one with the lickers everywhere.
If any of you doesn't like this format please speak up, its not set in stone, i just thought i'd lay down a suggestion to get us rolling.
I know Green 51 Q wants to do a ps3 game so please feel free to post your details here mate.
Update: We havent got enough people for a decent tournament yet so im going to leave the registration open a few days more before we get underway guys :thumb:

1st: Signed print by kawata-san + satchel + neca Sheva figure+ neca Executioner figure

i just sent a pm to tenebra asking if gifts will be avalible for the ps3 resident evil 5.
this is the schedual. 3 games with 4 players each in versus mode.
you will gain points depending on which position you come in:
first place: 4 points
second place: 3 points
third place: 2 points
fourth place: 1 point
the person at the end with the most overall points will win the mini 3 match tournament and then be posted here, where depending on what tenebra says, get prizes or not.
i can obviously only participate in one match so i will designate somebody to host the next few tournaments or they can volounteer. then at the end i will start a thread so people can post the winners. ( i cannot keep track of every game since i won't be there so make sure who wins your match. )
seems good to me. if anyone wants to change anything just say and will see if anyone has any objections. lets see if we can have it as soon as possible, any time is good for me. :D

Wooo, game-playing compo! I'd prefer single rather than team vs, but not by much...in other words, I don't mind :D
I'll be on anyone's team too. Random teams probably would be the most fair way of doing things.
i think slayers will be good. because then you can earn points killing majini or you can hunt down other players and kill them. :D
actually maybe survivors is better.:chin:
51 i actually meant to suggest slayers not survivors but i got em mixed up, i've edited the op to say slayers, though if people really want survivors just say so and it shall change back :thumb:

I would be up for Resident Evil 5 on 360 and would pair up with anyone. This sounds like a really fun and enjoyable way to win prizes, also makes it more competitive.
I will be available to play from Tuesday/Wednesday depending how things go, till Friday this week, since I have a Street Fighter Tournament on Saturday. Don't know what I am up to after that.
Add Marvel vs Capcom that could be alot of fun

I would love to but unfortunatelly I don't have a credit card so I am not able to buy Versus from the PSN :sorry:!!!
It's about time Sony releases the PSN-Cards!!!

Depending on how many people we get will decide how long it takes but each round will be a couple of days long to give people enough time to get there matches in, so if we get say 16 people that will be 4 rounds before we get a winner so a little over a week :thumb:

Ah right, thats a good idea, the more people the better. Just keep me in the loop ok :p. Good luck with getting people to register JDK :D.

I don't mind pairing up with someone. I first read that Spike was without a partner, and since I see him signing on quite a bit while I'm playing it would be good to pair up with him....makes sense right?
Otherwise I have no preferences and I am up for anything. =) Provided I own it, of course.

It would be far better to start something that works across genres.
It's not that I have a thing against RE but run something in Street Fighter at the same time?
Also by running it on 360 - that alienates PS3 and Wii owners too.

I don't think that one game excludes the others, RagingAvatar, we need to start from somewhere. Organising multiple sessions at the same time is unrealistic and would take the focus off the various events.

It would be far better to start something that works across genres.
It's not that I have a thing against RE but run something in Street Fighter at the same time?
Also by running it on 360 - that alienates PS3 and Wii owners too.

Dont worry if this is successfull more games will follow and we are only on 360 on this one as thats all i have, i'll be getting a ps3 & wii soon so if i host again wii & PS3 contests will follow, in the mean time theres nothing to stop others hosting the next time.
I would especially be up for someone else hosting SF cos then i could compete, whip all your butts and take home the goodies :D

Yep it was something annouced at gamecon which i reported on ;)
But they are only £20/€20 or £50/€50
They should have £10/€10 £30/€30 £40/€40 options as well

So, how it's going? How many registered players are there? :blink: I want to play other games, because I don't have RE5, but I have most of the online supported Capcom games on ps3 :)
