Simple! Although there arent alot of obvious ways to do it - it is possible!

1.) Click on your inbox
2.) When there, you should look to the left. Youll see Logged in as: James Mitchell or, whatever your username is.
3.) Look below that, you should see Capcom Europe ¯ James Mitchell ¯ Inbox
4.) Click your Username. In my case, I would click James Mitchell.
5.) In the menu bar to the left, click Signature. Remember to save it when done!

My Recommendation!
Place this at the top of your signature. Itll space it out, and help make the forum look less cluttered!

For the time being and as a warning, the signature section tends to be formatting-intolerant. If you want fancy text along with your graphics, its not going to happen, quite frankly, because for some reason only understandable to those who are conversant in Glitch, if you try formatting text, the [img] tags go skew-whiff.

I thought this was gonna be a sig request topic. Id like someone to make me a sig.

A signature comprising what?

Also, I advocate your initial assumptions. This thread should double up as a resident request spot.

Sorry folks, signatures werent intended to be present on this board. Im impressed that you found a back door into the forum profile that allowed you to make them, but Im afraid well be locking that back door soon enough.

I know some of you like having signatures and put considerable effort into them, but they tend to make threads a lot harder to read

no sigs? i dont really have problems with em i can fully understand what peoples are typing, so why removing the option?

Well, look at your sig. It looks like youve just added that line on to every post, and that its part of your original post.

THIS IS WHY PEOPLE SHOULD DO THE RECOMMENDATION I STATED IN THE FIRST POST - IT SPACES THEM OUT AND MAKES THEM EASIER TO READ!

So yeah. >_> See how mine is separate and you can TELL its my sig?

But theres already a big white line between your post and the sig. so why do you need another one.

Plus, if you get rid of the ability to have sigs, all im gonna do is copy the code and post it after every post!

I like sigs.

And If I have time I may be able to make one for someone.

True and since that white line is standard in all the posts, its then all down to simple commonsense to interpret that as a separation between the post and the signature.

But hey, I dont make the rules. If signature option is going to be terminated, then so be it. Just that for some, its a way of personal expression, so in a way thats stunting that freedom. Tighter regulation on the option seems a compromise.

But then again, the forum community did manage to survive without all that razzmatazz pre-March 2003...

ello again, everyone.

Hmm~ Not sure if my avatar shows. I only got errors when uploading. But this post ought to show anyway.

Chompy, If you must get rid of sigs, can you make avatars noticeably bigger?

Or Ill just use the other get around

Are you on a caps lock trip lately?

Honestly speaking I dont see how your solution makes things better; it sure looks strange, though. People could adopt using caps lock for standard posts and start using normal writing in signatures only. That might help.

Personally I dont mind the absence of signatures. That being said, it does give people an additional opportunity to add a personal, individual touch.

To be honest, we can only tell its your sig because it looks like a classic signature image.

Plus its under an infinite white line thats already present to separate post from signature. This, in turn, is how anyone can tell that Dead Phoenixs signature is a signature. There really is no need to add yet another line sandwiched between space. If were to be pedantic, it just elongates the post unnecessarily. No-one should do anything.

Still, as I said in the other topic, having no signatures isnt such a big deal because these boards have been through that phase before. Just that as 7 said, for some people signatures are a fragment of expression.
