Is the game still supposed to be nothing but a straight port with Wii controls added on? If extra content or, even better, a higher difficulty mode (even if that only meant doubling enemy HP etc.) was added in then I might see a reason to buy it up again. As it is, I wouldnt buy it just for a different control scheme.

There really isnt any incentive to buy Wii for Okami if you own it on the PS2. The only thing added to the game is the ability to skip the annoyingly slow text.

Apparently, theyve just got the engine running on the Wii, and they are considering extra content, but for now there has been nothing announced. To be honest, I hope they throw in a secret dungeon or something to give a further incentive for owners to purchase the game. Does Ready At Dawn have creative control to be able to implement new content into the game?

we cant really give thoughts on a game that hasnt been released yet, not for a while anyway.

Well, its pretty much a 1:1 port of the original PS2 version, albeit with added controls. I am assuming the topic poster wanted to know what people thought about the game actually coming to Wii, rather than the game itself.

Im glad its finally coming out, its a perfect fit for the wii, not only due to the paintbrush controls but also in the style/art direction.
Given the amount of wiis that have been sold over the past year i could see okami making a lot of money if marketed correctly, which would be great!

Just hoping we get a widescreen EDTV mode, would be a shame to play such a lushly visual game in 50hz 4:3 interlace-o-vision :(

Although I didnt spend a lot of time with the PS2 version, I recall a EDTV mode so I see no reason why it wouldnt be pushed over to the Wii version. Furthermore, Capcoms other Wii titles provide such a mode too.
