Feel free to discuss any problem - related to the forum not working as it should - you may run into.


OK, here is the story, it might not be in order, but Im sure youll get the idea.

I signed up to these new forums, made 2 posts, then closed down by browser, (by the way, I didnt get a confirmation email about the creation of my account or anything like that, which is unusual, but at least Im a member, so Im not complaining), I opened my browser again a few minutes later and came back, at the top it showed me as logged in, even gave my name at the top, but according to the forum, I was a Guest and I couldnt post anywhere, also I couldnt log out because it brought up an error stating that I was trying to access an area of the site I didnt have permission to access, so I was stuck, I couldnt post to let anyone know what was going on.

To get around this, I had to change my profile then update it, then log out and log back in again and now I can post again, but what happened?

This is not normal? Im sure that with new forums there will be issues and bugs to work out, so this is one of them...

Just thought Id mention it in case anyone else is in the same place that I was.

Sounds like some sort of cookie issue.

Edit: yup just happened to me now. Seems to be started by the remember me function on log on. I just came back here, and even though I was logged in, it still named me guest and I couldnt do anything. I also couldnt log out, had to go to profile then log out from there. Clicking logout kept me logged in and simply added onto the URL as such: http://capcom-europe.com/forums.aspx?g=forum?cmd=logout?cmd=logout?cmd=logo ut?cmd=logout

I just had this problem too. How do we solve this problem permanently? It could get annoying, you see...
Im not complaining really, because everything else is definitely welcome. Oh yes, the spelling of tongue on the smileys doesnt matter either :p

I have this problem too. The way I get round is to go to the front page, log out there, log back in again, and then go to the forum. Not ideal, I agree, so we will be working on it.

Or you could do what Im doing, and sign in each time instead of using the remember me feature.

I like the layout of this forum better than the phpBB of old, even though that was good too. However, its still relatively fresh so I see nothing to point out. I do however, cant seem to find the signature option.

Heh well this is how i try to loggin For the forums i first must loggin than edit my profile in main than i submit and than if im lucky im logged in as Falkenberg
