Pretty damn unexpected, and to be honest I think its gonna feel weird to see The Dark Knight now.
Mind you, itll probably receive a massive boost in sales because it is indeed Ledgers last film. A shame, as he came the same area as me too.

A friend of mine said something like I heard the Joker is dead. I assumed he meant the Joker dies in the movie or is actually an undead. Then he corrected me and told me he meant the actor was dead. So I did some reading around and lo and behold, hes dead! I must say it is quite surprising. I havent seen many of his movies. In fact the only movie I saw was 10 Thing I Hate About You (decent movie, in my opinion) but he was still rising as an actor and doing well for himself. I even had my doubt about him doing the Joker, and I still sort of do, mainly due to how different this Joker is going to be but after seeing the trailer and the 6 minute prologue, my mind changed.
Anyway, definitely surprising. Cant wait for The Dark Knight!
me, billy and franzkill was disscussing this on xbox live.
I made comparrisons to the brandon lee story and the crow. its a great lose, i hope his preformance in the new batman is a good send of to what will always be known as a good actor.
That is very sad. Admittedly, I only ever saw Heath Ledger properly in A Knights Tale, so am not that aware of his acting portfolio. Nonetheless, any death is tragic to hear. R.I.P, Ledger.
Man, that sucks.
Ironic though, earlier this week I read that the director and writer were critizing the previous Batman films for killing their villians instead of keeping them a long time threat in the background and so forth, and thats why the Joker wouldnt die in TDK so that they would bring him back in further sequels. Next piece of Batman related news I read is Ledgers death.

Ledger was slated to appear in the third Batman film, where he would damage Harvey Dents face during his trial in order to give rise to Two Face.
It seems they will have to think up an alternate storyline now...
Hmm, from what Ive read in the past, Dent is turned into Two-Face at the end of TDK, and nothing to do with the Joker.

I heard that the Joke had a lot to do with it, same origin as the Batman Forever movie, but with Joker in place of the criminal on trial.
Its somewhere - Ill dig it up eventually.
Still, deep condolences to his family, including his younger sister who attends the school just around the corner. Furthermore, one of my best mates from primary school was signed to Heaths record label.

Except The Crow sucks fecal matter.
Im still shocked by this news. I just cant get how things like this happen sometimes. But sadly it just does.
