Interesting. Its cool to see the new skins can now be used in the Campaign, though this basically confirms that Luka wont have her own storyline.
Is that Megaman or Frank West dressed as Megaman?

It would certainly be awesome to be able to use Megamans arm cannon against the Akrid.
Seven, do you have any screenshots confirming the Re4-style camera has made it into the PS3 version?
Wow that does look like Frank from DR, TBH i didnt really like LP, dont get me wrong it was good and all, well the boss fights, the story was kinda....., and the ending was.....
I might have to try it on a PS3 when it does come out just to compare

The PS3 version comes with all the DLC released for the 360. Thats approximately 9(?) maps as well as some PC exclusive downloadable content, which includes the ability to use Frank West, Megaman Frank and Luka (the chick from Campaign mode) in Single Player and Online Battle modes. Furthermore, its unconfirmed, but the game will also come with an option to enable an RE4-style camera mode, similar to the PC version also.
Im gonna say, that graphically it looks dissapointing.
You should of seen the first screen shots Capcom released of the game, they were truly horrendous lol.
The megaman dress is sooo funny, hahahahaha! I love all the Inafune games, but hate microsoft, so thanks capcom for break the exclusive!

Regardless, Lost Planet on PS3 was inevitable. It was / still is one of the top games for the Xbox Live platform, and this would translate well into the free online network PSN.

Two big questions on a lot of peoples minds are: What has Capcom done with Lost Planet on the PS3? And which will be the best of the three versions? Based on our hands-on time with the game, youre in good hands whichever way you swing. The visual differences are nitpicky at best, and doing a thorough visual comparison of the 360 and PS3 versions side by side, with both static scenes and moving gameplay, put the two on a very similar graphical footing.

Unlike the Xbox 360 version, the PS3 version also offers a hard-drive preload option when you first fire it up (sort of like a mini-install process). Essentially, it copies content from the game disc to the PS3 to improve load times. Our install took 15 minutes, and it only needs to be done once. Comparing PS3 load times with 360 load times, we found that the PS3 times were on average two to three seconds quicker. Its not much, but it adds up over time if you dont mind spending the disc space.

Lost Planet isnt without original characters, though, with the PlayStation 3 version getting the exclusive, playable character Luka, a pony-tailed cutie who runs and guns in her own unique missions. If Capcom cant or doesnt want to -- for whatever reason -- continue to use Lee Byung-Hun in the primary role, they could always pass the baton on to Luka. But considering what Ive heard from Capcom producers Keiji Inafune and Yoshinori Ono, which is that the senior executives (aka: the suits) at Capcom dont think that female characters will sell, I wouldnt count on it. Uhh, Capcom, have you ever heard of Tomb Raider? Lara Croft? Seriously.

Nice to see the implementation of unique content besides skins and models.
Well see how much extra content I get before I even consider purchasing this game...again =P
Since i got blocked when i asked my question i shall ask again. Has lost planet on ps3 got a good life span and does it have a cool online multi-player?

Even though its late the graphics seem to disapoint people i still recon its worth it as its œ25 brand new (not sure for other countries)!

This game is failed for ps3 since the controller of ps3 is very very bad for shooter games, those analogs are annoyng in my opinion.
Xbox360 got the perfect controller analogs for shooter games, and since the xbox360 got stronger hardware then the ps3 the diference btw them will be nothing.
xbox360 got the colonies out now and it will rock ! since its the best online game on the next generation in my opinion.
Lost planet aint a great single game, but its the best online game :P for me.

The PS3 is technically ALOT MORE capable than the Xbox 360 - get our facts straight before making comments.
As for the PS3 iteration of Lost Planet - which I have played - disappointing at best. It was a shame.
Colonies is everything the original should have been, really. =)

As exciting as this game is I really dislike the whole keeping yourself warm thing!:mad:
I know this is quite a realistic thing but its just so annoying I think I'll leave this game until I have nothing but a choice to play it! :thumb:
i wish they will release lost planet 2. it looks soo awsome and even better :D
I've been playing this for some time now, it's a hell lotta fun

Owning a PS3 and a 360 i downloaded both demo's and i was coming to a shocking conclusion. the PS3 version has slowdown, is more blurry and the weapons spawn always on the same spot. the 360 version plays faster is sharper and the weapons always spawn on other places. :chin:

I take it your on about the Lost Planet 2 Co-Op demo and not Lost Planet 1 as per topic title?
