So what do you know about Nikola Tesla? Maybe you're seen 'The Prestige' and seen David Bowie's turn as the legend? Perhaps you've heard the name when playing Command & Conquer Red Alert (who didn't love the Tesla coils?) or perhaps you've actually heard of his rivalry with Edison during the AC/DC wars at the turn of the 19th/20th Century?

What you may not know is that he is one of the main men in Dark Void!

Well, Nikola Tesla, brilliant inventor and "Father of Physics" that he was is said to have disappeared days before his purported death. Shortly after an anything-but-textbook landing in the Bermuda Triangle, our protagonist Will encounters Nikola holed up with a band of resistance fighters. Nikola's genius is what has kept this ragtag group of men and women alive and kicking for so long. He is, without a doubt, the backbone of the resistance and quite literally the man behind the machinery.

As well as being the 'Q' in Dark Void he's also been seen in other popular culture.

Here's David Bowie as Tesla in The Prestige:

If you haven't seen it, it is a cracking film. Tesla is a bit of a fruit loop, but a genius, much as he was in real life.

And here he is on a Serb bank note. A national hero who was proud of his Serb heritage and his Croatian upbringing. he spent his later life in the US where he worked on many inventions which still have significance today.

Thomas Alva Edison stole his idea/invention, light bulb.

Tesla had a dream, free electricity for everyone to use, since the Earth is electrified by itself, which is leading to the creation of lightnings in the sky and making them hitting the earth's soil. Electricity, according to his idea, could be implemented without wires, poles and transmission lines, which we largely use today. The "Technical Museum" in Zagreb have Tesla's original inventions, and the best part is when you enter a cage through which electricity passes, and the electricity can't hurt you. ;)

Unfortunately, others seems to find this electricity as a great advantage to get rich, so now we pay for electricity.

A free electricity is something like a vehicle using water instead of gas. A silent idea from a modern man to so-called modern world, that will forever remain in the dark, without the power to see the light, which ironically he created...

Well, money is the world's ruler right now, isn't it?
What was food once now turned to coins.
