Does anyone remember this game?
I was browsing the net and came across this game and saw it was made by Capcom.
When I was little we rented this game a few times and I really loved it. It's one of the few fighting games I enjoyed.
I know it's not going to happen but I would love to see a new title. Whois with me?
The rival schools character cast was brilliant. I'd love to see a new game in the series. <3

I used to love Rival Schools back in the day. Another title more than 10 years old from the good old PS1 days geez. I suppose I mostly went for this because it looked a lot like Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha and because Sakura was in it, I'd say it probably did the best effort with the Story Modes, most fighting games have gone overboard trying to copy this.
Yes, I've read about the story mode, the japanese version even had a sim mode. Too bad I was too young to understand all of this, I was just enjoying the fighting and minigames with the cool characters. I really want to play it again haha

There was a great comic book brought out a small time a go based on Rival Schools. It was done by Udon Comics who do most of the Capcom stuff. I'm quite the fan :D

I played the demo for it and thought it was amazing but never seen the full game in the shops? So sadly missed out on the full, overall experience.

Rival Schools.... what a great fighting game... too bad I never got it...
Still, the characters are great, the plot holds itself AND it had killer options (THANK YOU, CAPCOM!!!!).
Nowadays, we only see basic options like "endings", "concept art" and "music". And that´s all.
I never played Rival Schools for the PS1 but I did play the sequal Project Justice and I found it a lot more fun than Street fighter or the Vs games. Maybe because everyone had high health? Maybe it was a smooth 3D engine? Dunno, but heck it was as fun as hell and had played it till the Dreamcast laser had to be replaced (though me and my brothers did play a lot of MVC2 and Third Strike). Now I feel like playing it again XD

I went to look for it, and found it readable online on the UDON official site.
Weird drawings, with a constantly changing art style, but a fun read. <3
