Hi,
In other forums, I've seen sections based around games such as "Comment on the person above you" and such like, which are quite fun.
But also there are fan-made fanfic games, text-based, where someone would create a story, people would join, they'd say what they're doing and the writer would lead them through the game.
I personally enjoyed this section in other forums and I think it would be a great addition to this forum too.

From my point of view and experience, "comment on the person above you" threads/posts are nothing more than spam, and could even lead to unnecessary comments. These could lead to trolling, flaming etc.

It was only an example, the main chunk of most of these sections are fan-made games as I described.
Also, one extremely popular game is the "Caption" game where the thread creator would post a picture, someone would write a funny caption and the funniest caption would win thatround. There would be a leaderboard created to record the winners.

A play thread in a videogame company forum?

Mmmh... if you want to play, you should buy a game. :D

I don't have a problem with text games but I really don't think there is the need for a dedicated section.

But this allows freedom for people to create their own stories. Like interactive fanfic.
