The graphic engine that made its debut with Dead Rising(that I bought today with my new Xbox) is updated to version 2.0 for Lost Planet 2.
The improvements are about scenario interaction with explosions and characters' interaction with the world.

The PC version will support also DX11 APIs.
(There is need that the engine is completely different by DX9... Not like now that DX10 is only DX9+some features)

History:
1.0 Dead Rising
1.1 Lost Planet Xbox
1.2 Lost Planet PC
1.3 Devil May Cry 4
1.5 Resident Evil 5

It was announced a while ago that it would be MT framework 2.0;)

The announcement trailer had it! >_>

Still interesting to see what numbers they assigned to their games though. 1.0 isn't compatible with PS3 at all, which is probably why we will never see Dead Rising 1 on the PS3. Similarly, 2.0 alledgedly brings a lot more cross-compatibility than the original version did.

It's a brilliant engine, better than most these days and it's a shame that the language barrier prevents other developers from utilising it.

The differences weren't announced with the game.
Now we know what is changed.
