So when is okami 2 coming out ,just imagine it in hd :)

Okami was developed by Clover studios, and unfortunately they haven since dissolved and most of the employees work for PlatinumGames with some at Capcom Japan still.
I don't think we'll see a sequel, that being said, I'd still love to see one! That game was beautiful.

It shall not happen for the reasons stated above. Okami more or less conclude its tale though and offered a rather full and dynamic game, so there is no real need for a sequel.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if there were a "Spiritual Successor" kind of like No More Heroes and Killer7.
Another game in the same style, possibly loosely connected to Okami, could easily be done.
I would, personally, love to see more Action-RPGs done in a similar Art Style, that focused heavily on Japanese culture (rather than taking influences, like Zelda does).

i thought okami was great! too bad about clover, they made some great games (loved god hand) but surely there is a developer who will pick this up? although it couldnt be about amaterasu, as she went up to heaven... maybe playing as waka would be cool
It would be wicked to see a sequal to okami. it was one of the most beautiful and engrosing games of all time. the one thing that can be taken form the loss of clover studios is that most of it's members have gone on to platinum games. We might not be getting another okami but it's creators will continue to produce stylistic and innovitive games such as mad world.
Here's hoping something Okami-esque comes up soon! It would take a hell of a lot to try match the original though, so perhaps it's best for all Clover Studios fans if it's not even attempted.
The full PS2 Okami ending definitely ranks in my top 10 gaming moments :)
the thing that bothers me about the prospect of a sequel is that lightning rarley strikes twice with clover (or platinum now) games. Vewtiful joe 1 and 2 (And the ds one actually) were fun but after red hot rumble i'm glad they stopped. it seems they were great at origional ideas but lost it when it came to maintaining a franchise.
