View Full Version : Professional Mode?
Personally i am sick of fighting Ken, Ryu, Sagat and co online. So i was thinking about having a mode called professional mode in which people have to play as other characters. That way the more skilled players who are sick of getting hadukened and dragon uppercutted can fight together in this mode. Would others like this? and would capcom do this?
It isn't possible...
Why not?
How can you decide it?
If your foe uses only hadouken, then do something to break his loop. The game is balanced, you just need to attack your foe in the right way.
--Edit: Not funny and you know it ---
--But it's the same--
All im saying is that 90% of kids are Ryu or Ken. If they are good why cant they just use other characters.
They paid like you, you can choose to not play with them. They can choose the character they want. Find the tactics right to defeat them.
Broken idea. I don't like Kens but thats wrong.

Why choose an other character if you r good with
For example Ryu-Ken-Akuma,A hadoken Shoryuken sonic Boom can be blocked it's just a matter of timing..
Many people r using Streetfighter stick or TE Stick, when you r using these you're much quicker,I also got 1 but,i prefer 2 play with 6axis controller..
I only use stick 4 trials Challenge mode..:)

That seems like a massive waste of money.
Oh and just out of interest do these sticks have rapid fire functions ?
Oh and just out of interest do these sticks have rapid fire functions ?For what purpose?
I guess that mode should be called "Scrub Mode"...
I think it personally would suck once You couldn't play whom You wanted to play - although I really hate it as well once fighting one and the same person over and over again on the same Character, like my nightmare versus Jedah on Fighting Jam. But it's kind of satisfying to finally beat such a face off.
In reverse I had the humble idea of selecting a move of the opponent to block it, wether a simple punch/kick or special ...

I'm a Streetfighter collector,I also play Sf2 and Sf 2 Turbo on The SNES,
Maybe it's a waste of money but,i think i have to practice more with my stick and than, hopefully i will be better,Now i'm stuck on 50% and i still got troubles with some trials

They could use points like in most online games such as Mario Kart or Call od Duty.
You gain points on how well you've beaten opponents, etc. You'd gain ranks and some modes would open up to higher leveled people, so that that way better players can face better players.
This is a very bad idea. The reason why they choose Ryu, Ken, etc is because they want to win. If you are going to be playing a ranked match, you are bound to find them all over. If you don't want to face them, then just go to the other option where you don't gain or lose anything as then you will find people who mess around or try a variety of characters.
But if there were to be a professional mode, then they should make it where you choose the opponent's character and vise versa. That way it will attract a lot of newcomers to be used.
I think thats a bad idea just because I have used Ken since SF2. Never used anyone else ever. But with SFIV its balanced big time to get through hadouken abuse. Focus-Dash repeat until you get to em. They will usually panic and try DP'in you, block then bash em all over.
Why cant people get it into their head that focus-dash is such an awesome defence/offence move!
