The demo of Japan’s most successful PSP title is coming to PAL territories on May 28 th, giving wannabe hunters the chance to experience three dangerous quests from the game ahead of its release on June 26 th. Sony PSP owners can download the demo directly to their PSP free of charge via the PSP Store by selecting the store icon and connecting using their PSN I.D or they can download to their PS3 console and simply transfer the demo across.
Players can adventure with up to three friends to get a taste of the multiplayer social gaming phenomenon that’s taking Japan by storm or choose to go it alone with the aid of a Felyne companion. After selecting your weapons and armour you will journey through woodlands, swamps and deserts to hunt down some of the fiercest and most majestic monsters that ever lived.
As an alternative to downloading this demo Capcom is also producing limited numbers of the demo UMD’s which Gamers can register to be sent at www.encyclopedia-gigantica.com (http://www.encyclopedia-gigantica.com/) or www.capcom-europe.com (http://www.capcom-europe.com/) from the 1 st June. Successful registrants will receive four copies of the demo so that they can easily set up a hunting party.

The UMD demo's are limmited as now you can sign up to the PSN store Via PSP and download it straight onto PSP if you have upto date firmware.

Why do u want the UMD version of a Demo O_o ?? The demo is edit Spike Language anyway, im so Edit Spike language at the english names again. is Plum Daimyo Hermitaur ..... Plum instead of "purple" lmao, nicely done capcom europe/usa.
I know u would never listen to me, also its kinda useless if i say this now but ......... Keep the japanese names outside asia, the english ones are so bad. MH3 with original names please, or let me change to japanese in options if u want to translate the monster names that badly.

Regardless of what names they've been given, we should appreciate what we're given instead of complaining about names, which are at best completely redudant and absolutely not game-breaking. I'd be a thousand times more worried if some game-breaking glitch or bug was present and I'd rather have that solved than having to choose between names. I don't mean to disrespect you, SILENTKILLER, but you're nitpicking stuff. D: I know I could've just kept quiet about it, but complaining about names? I know you're entitled to your opinion, but it's not fair, especially when Capcom Europe is doing their best to bring us Freedom Unite.
Well, putting that aside, I'll be looking forward to give the Demo a try when it's finally released on the 28th.
I am exicted how they will call the other subspecies... since it is "Plum" Daimyo H. and "Smaragd" Congalala... that sux XD

Sorry you don't like the translated names SK, but they're actually translated in Japan by the development team to be more in keeping with their original vision of how the names should be understood in other languages. So if anything they're more accurate to the original vision of the title than English names in the imported versions you have played.
It's a critcism we always get that the hardcore fans want everything kept as per the Japanese title, at the same time we don't want to put off new people to the game by keeping things too 'japanese' hopefully we'll find a balance that doesn't upset too many people.
And the reason to offer it on a UMD is that for some poeple this is the only way they play games. Not everyone we hope will love MHFU is as tech savvy or a Monster Hunter God like you!
Or has a PS3 which is a problem I expiranced when working at the expo, lukily there was an alternative to suggest, but it certainly was an issue for certain people.
Also after playing the game with some of the new names I'm happy most of the new names, just was a shock as the japanese names sound so cool.

I've downloaded today as soon as I got home. But I was shocked to see that the firmware needed is 5.50. Oh well, I better get to it and download that update when I'm able.
Yay this demo is awesome im a total noob though my fastest time was like 15 minutes with the lance against the Hypnocatrice
I haven't played Monster Hunter for months but was quite glad how I got straight back into it :)
The little friend that helps is good too, although I thought I chose one who would use a hunting horn but he just kept running around with barrel bombs lol
Will have another go at lunchtime as I still need to get the hang of all the buttons again so I don't end up rolling over while I'm trying to lay a trap :D
In fact I might even load up xlink kai again this weekend!

This demo is a nice appetizer for the real thing! Too bad the loading times of MHF2 are not as good as in this demo. Happy times if Unite is released here:D

If I register on the site were you can order the free Demo UMD's, but submit a wrong address, and then change it in your user control panel, what address will be used?
And 'Volganos' is a brilliant name in comparison?!
Honestly I don't mind the name changes, but in some cases i also don't undertstand why they have changed either, but they're done by the development team rather than anyone in Europe or the US and who am i to argue with them!

I logged into the http://www.capcom-europe.com/MonsterHunter/ to get a UMD copy of Freedom Unite but it's telling me my address is not part of the mailing area even though it is. Any suggestions?

Im trying to make an account in http://www.capcom-europe.com/MonsterHunter/register.php in order to request the demos but when im finish filling out my profile info, i click on "register" but the screen goes white. It doesnt make anything and I cant register T_T

i downloaded the demo and its awesome, the graphics look like they have been improved slightly, and the felyne fighter is cool.

My thoughts exactly! The last conversation I had with Sinister was like trying to translate another language. He kept going on about ninja rat armour. I even scanned through to see what armour he was talking about, because I had the Ninja Kote armour already. Turns out he was talking about Nargacuga :)

I was suppose to make a decision if i want to buy this game after playing the demo... But it haven't yet arrived and i already pre-ordered it... Don't know if i'll like it :D It's my 1st MH-game..
