Okami reminded me of one of my best, if not favourite, gaming series The legend of zelda but with more action. It was great on the wii and I think Amaterasu would be a great character for a fighting game.;)
wouldnt really be great, quadrupeds in general dont really work in fighting games,
espcially if we are talking about a fighting game like street fighter or smash bros
but yes there are similarities with the zelda series (i assume you are directly comparing amaterasu with links twilight form)

:nod:Now you say it, I totally agree, but i still think that she's a great character to represent Capcom, (she is a she right?)
i always assumed it was male, amaterasu sounds male to me, but then again its japanese so...
bah google tells me its female, i guess the naruto technique kind of threw me off, that attack is evil and manly

To be honest i always thought Zak and Wiki was more like Zelda then Okami @.@
Indeed it has a lot in common with Zelda, specially Twilight Princess, but the art and the style makes the difference and (with sadness in my heart, for I love Zelda series) Okami plainly won.

I see why you say that, they are similar ina alot of ways like finding items and having to use them in a certain way or something, but Zack and Wiki is definately a lot more interactive. I didn't really think about them being alike.
Okami was great for a change and certainly made a good job of itself, but I still love the dungeons and gameplay in zelda, even though Okami had some brilliant touches. (especially in the art department):thumb:

I have always felt that Okami is the game that the Zelda team wanted to make but never quite managed. It was a deep and expansive world that was all encompassing, which is something Zelda has always tried to master but never really found.
The achievements of Okami still astound me to this day. The optional side-quests, the amazing bosses/levels, the sheer magnitude of the world and the way in which they managed to bring Japanese myth and folklore to life. It is merely a shame that Okami's biggest shortcoming was not one of its own making: but the gaming audience itself(as is so often the case with prolific games - ICO, BG&E etc.) :(
