2. I need gameplay help, hints, tips, or cheat codes for one of your games
Many of our more popular games have a hint line - please check the manual for details. You may also be able to get some help from the users on our forum. There are also many sites like www.gameFAQs.com which offer helpful walkthroughs for games.
Please note that we do not support the use of cheats in our games. These are included in games in order to aid testing, and tend to be removed in the final version. We do not support the use of cheat devices with our games, as these can cause instability and save problems.
-
3. I have a game idea for you
We are sorry to have to disappoint anyone who has put time and effort into creating a games idea, but it is our policy not to accept unsolicited games ideas from the public. There are several reasons for this, including the potential legal issues involved. Our R&D department is currently not accepting submissions.

8. can I use one of your characters ?
Capcom does not object to a one-off use of a character for such things as school projects or a personal T-shirt with the understanding that this is done as a personal activity and that you do not intend to receive revenue by this use of our property. Also, we will not object to such use as long as it is not obscene, defamatory, libelous, offensive or slanderous towards Capcom, our products, or employees, or any third party and does not violate any intellectual property right or a person's right of publicity or privacy. This policy is in no way meant to be interpreted as creating an agreement or grant of license from Capcom to you. We reserve the right to withdraw our permission should this prove necessary.
If you wish to use one of our characters or trademarks for commercial purposes, please contact feedback@capcomeuro.com giving as much information as possible about your proposal and we will forward it to the relevant department.

10. I am experiencing problems with my console game.
Make sure your disc does not have any scratches or fingerprints. Try the game disc on a different system using the same memory card to load the location where you are stuck. Try restoring your game from a previous save game file and play up to the same point. Sometimes the save game files can be corrupted causing unexpected errors in the game. Also, this problem may be caused if you are using a game enhancing device (cheat device) not intended to be used with the game. Please disconnect any game enhancing devices and re-play the game without any of these connected. If you are still experiencing problems you may need to return the disc to the shop for a replacement copy.

11. Can I make a Capcom fan site?
Capcom does not object to you creating a website which may contain reference to Capcom games or characters, with the understanding that this is done as a personal activity and that you do not intend to receive revenue by this use of our property. Also, we will not object to the website as long as it is not obscene, defamatory, libelous, offensive or slanderous towards Capcom, our products, or employees, or any third party; or violate any intellectual property right or a person's right of publicity or privacy. This policy is in no way meant to be interpreted as creating an agreement or grant of license from Capcom to you. So if you are a fan of Capcom games, and you have a website that you would like to create, Capcom will not object so long as you are working within the above stated criteria.

12. Can you tell me some specific details about a storyline from a game or a character of a game?
Questions of this nature usually have no answers as all of the characters and story lines are from the imagination of the game's creator. As with any good storyteller it is sometimes the intent of the game creator to leave the player of the game wanting more. Sometimes game story lines are left open because the game creator wants the player to complete the story to his or her wishes using their own imagination. You can discuss your theories about the game with the fans on our forum at forum.capcom-europe.com
-
13. Will you ever remake older games for the current consoles?
All of the games we have announced in production can be found in the press release section of our website. If the title you are longing for is not part of the news, then we currently have no information regarding its production.
-
14. I work for a games publication or website. How do I get press releases/ can I get a review copy of a Capcom game?
For addition to our press release list, please go to www.capcomeuro-press.com and select 'new user', then enter the required details.
As for review product- unfortunately, because we get so many requests for games and have limited supplies, we are unable to fulfill everyone's requests. For consideration of receiving reviewable product, here are a few guidelines we require:
-How many daily unique visitors does your site receive? Please send us a valid third party report with this information as it is the only accurate measure of how many people actually visit your site.
-How often do you update your site? We look for sites that update throughout the day, every day.
-How current are your reviews? We look for sites that review games on a timely basis and contain a healthy library of reviews.
-Do you produce your own content or reference other sites for your news and information? We look for sites that produce their own content and write their own stories, not just reuse content from other major sites.
-Does your site have sponsors and a dedicated staff? This lets us know that you are a professional organization. -

18. Is Dead Rising region-coded?
Dead Rising is region coded. US and Japanese versions of the game will not work in PAL-region Xbox360s.
Dead Rising will be released on the 8th of September 2006, so there is not long to wait now before you can play the European version of this game.
-
19. Dead Rising - the save/load system is confusing
We highly recommend that you read the game instructions on page 5 of the manual on “Dying and Saving” to fully understand the save function. Some people don’t find this function intuitive so reading the manual will be very helpful. As a quick overview, when saving please remember the following:
If you die, just reload the previous save or reset your system. This will start you back at your last save point. Remember if you do save after you die, this will overwrite your previous save.
Selecting “Save Status and Quit” will start the whole game over, but you will restart with your present stats and level. For example:
If you last saved at Mission 14 with Frank at Level 20 and die at Mission 20 with Frank at Level 30, when you choose “Save Status and Return to Title” you will start a new game at Mission 1/Level 30.
Your status is saved, but progress or missions completed are lost. The option of “Return to Title Without Saving” does not override the save file, so this allows you to select continue (by loading your save file) or select a new game.

20. Dead Rising - I can’t read the text displayed in the game when playing
Dead Rising was developed to be optimized for High Definition TV’s. Due to this, the font in the game may might be difficult to read on a standard definition TV.
If you are having a hard time reading the text, please try the following:
1.) Adjust the settings on your TV or monitor
2.) Try using component cables instead of standard composite to connect your Xbox360 to your television.
3.) Setting the TV to widescreen ratio (even though you may not have a widescreen TV) may help in some cases. Please note that you can use the wristwatch to set a guide arrow to your next objective. This will also display the mission description in slightly larger text. This should stop you from being stuck in the game, even if you are unable to read the text.
No patch to alter the text size is currently planned.

21. Resident Evil 4 - I am having save/load problems
Since Resident Evil 4 was released it has come to our attention that some users have experienced problems when saving this game using non-standard memory cards, particularly ‘Max’ brand memory cards larger than 8MB.
Should you be experiencing such problems we suggest using an official Sony 8MB memory card with this game. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
We comprehensively test our games before release and Sony also do their own testing, but it is not possible to fully test games on all non-standard memory cards. We therefore strongly recommend the use of official Sony 8MB cards with all our games. -
22. Resident Evil 4 - I cannot access certain areas in the game, like the garden maze
When you are playing the game on Easy level, the path to the end of the game is simpler. It is not necessary to enter certain areas such as the maze, and these are closed off.
-
23. Megaman (or Megaman X) Anniversary Collection - will you release it in Europe?
No, currently we have no plans to release these games in Europe
-
24. Steel Battalion questions - where can I buy it/my controller is broken/the servers are shut down
The controller is no longer being produced but you might be able to find it second hand on ebay.
Unfortunately we are not aware of anywhere in Europe where you might send your controller for repair. They are no longer under warranty nowadays so we cannot replace them.
The Campaign Mode is now closed, but other game modes are still available. Please see this news story for full information
