Street Fighter's 25th Anniversary Tournament Series!
May 23rd
Back in January earlier this year, we teased that we had some pretty huge plans in store for this years Street Fighter 25th Anniversary. Today we are happy to reveal a couple of core pieces of the celebration: a huge collector’s set (only available in North America) as well as a giant world wide Street Fighter tournament that we’re backing with half a million dollars worth of prizing and amenities!
TOURNAMENT SERIES
Our Capcom-sponsored series of tournaments begins in July and runs right through until December. Games included are Street Fighter X Tekken, Super Street Fighter IV AE v2012, SF III: Third Strike Online Edition and Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. (Dates and locations subject to change):

- August 26 in Taipei, Taiwan (location pending)
- Mid-September in the Tokyo Region, Japan (date and location pending)
- September 27-30 in London, England (in conjunction with Eurogamer Expo)

- October 27-28 in Los Angeles, CA
- October 31 – November 4 in Paris, France (in conjunction with Paris Games Week)
- December 8 Finals in San Francisco, CA (including players who qualify in the prelim tourneys)
As if that wasn’t enough, the first place SFxT player gets a custom Scion FR-S Sports Coupe! It includes a custom video entertainment system from SCEA, modified exterior from Five Axis and other components from other aftermarket companies.
European Street Fighter fans will have TWO chances to take part in the celebrations, with one event in London taking place during the Eurogamer Expo in September, as well as another event in Paris during Paris Games Week in November! More information on both events will follow shortly whilst we finalise the details.
Lastly, there will soon be a new site where you can share your own SF fandom. Head to http://www.streetfighter.com/sf25 for more info – it’s not fully operational just yet, but it will be soon. More on that to come!
Max winds up his week of Street Fighter III
May 4th
I think it’s his enthusiasm that comes across so well, so much so that it’s kind of infectious and makes you want to play some Street Fighter III right now! Of course it helps that Max has the skills to hand out the beat downs, but he also has the knowledge to explain what’s going on and analyse why his opponents lose. And on the odd occasion when Max himself loses, he’s very gracious about it and amusing as ever.

20 minute long Yun Genei Jin tutorial
Oct 7th
Yun’s Genei Jin super is one of the potentially highest damaging super arts in Street Fighter III: Third Strike. But only potentially because you can really make a mess of it (well I can anyway). So it comes with great relief that Arjarath has posted up this amazing combo video which goes way beyond what the Trials mode in Online Edition teaches. Seems like I’ve got a weekend in practice mode to look forward to!
Street Fighter III: Online Edition patch details

The patch has now been released on the 360 and fixes a number of issues players were having, most importantly it’s now very quick and easy to get a ranked match!

- Fixes a bug that could cause players to have very large disconnection percentages (> 100)
- Fixes a bug that could cause characters to become invisible online, or to be displayed with incorrect colors.
- Fixes a bug that sometimes caused Hugo’s combo trial #2 to not detect correctly
- Fixes a bug that permitted an exploit in Trial mode when using “stun” settings
- Fixes some rare crashes
- Improves network stability
- Adds support for additional DLC packs

- Raises the online level cap
Denjin!
Sep 28th
Ryu’s Denjin Hadouken super in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike might not be as popular as his Shinkuu-hadouken or the Shin-shoryuken, but it does make for a bit of higher level play due to its setups. It’s unblockable and you can charge it which leads to some guessing games for your opponent. Take a look at C-Royd’s video for a brilliant tutorial.
