In Osaka for Resident Evil 6, part 4
Aug 7th
Last day in Osaka, last post for this diary. Time for some shopping… well, RE shopping, of course!
DAY 3 : 26th JULY
We slept just few hours… it was difficult considering all the emotions and the adrenaline collected during the last day spent in Capcom with all RE staff and the incredible dinner mentioned in the previous post. At 10 o’clock we left our room at Nikko Hotel ready to enjoy the last day in the Osaka most technological district area to get some shopping done.

Once reached “Den-Den Town” by taxi our shopping marathon can start. Despite 40° Celsius and the highest level of humidity ever felt we succeded the not so banal task of exploring every single videogame shop of the block.
Passing through a disturbing life size Terminator and videogame of all ages we finally reached one of the most beloved destination for retrogamers in the world: the Superpotato shop in Osaka. Pictures below say more than words can do; walls full of retro consoles and titles of each generation. An incredible feast for the eyes (slightly less for our wallet).

After hours of walking finally we found what we were looking for, as total Resident Evil fan certainly we could not let escape some of the most unique branded items such as the Resident Evil 5 silkscreened PlayStation 3, the extra rare Double Feature for GameCube and Chronicles HD Selection (released on a physical support only in Japan). After saying goodbye to a lot of money (as usual spent for a very good REason) we returned to the hotel to cram our suitcase with new items just purchased.
Shocked by 3 days fully spent in the name of Resident Evil and Capcom we were greeted by, the first artificial lights of the evening as we boarded a limousine bus headed to Kansai Airport, We really hope to be able to make soon another press tour amazing as this… maybe, maybe, for a possible Resident Evil 7?

And that’s it! Before closing the last page of this diary, remember to take a look at the last extra pictures we posted on Capcom Italia’s Facebook Page. And if you already miss Michele… no need to worry, you can always find him on ResidentEvil.it.

In Osaka for Resident Evil 6, part 3
Aug 6th
Here we are with the 3rd part of our exclusive diary. It’s interviews day!
DAY 2 – 25th of July
We wake up very early in the morning, not just to enjoy the “sunrise” in the land of the “rising sun”, but also to check once again questions prepared for the interview that we are going to make later today. Around 10.00 we went in the restaurant of the Hotel Nikko for a rich breakfast with a tasty mix of flavors of oriental and western dishes. After this we, joined our colleagues in the lobby ready to spend another day in Capcom Osaka studies. An interview with the RE6 magic trio (Executive Producer Kobayashi san, Producer Hirabayashi san & Director Sasaki san) was waiting for us. We are escorted once again on the 6th floor of the building where in a room we met the CAPCOM PR Director Ben a Capcom translator and the RE6 fab 3! After thanking them for the nice event and the amazing Capcom organization we went straight to the Q&A session…
QUESTION: Resident Evil 6 seems really to be the mostambitious and huge chapter of the saga. Wnen the development did start?
ANSWER: we started to think about this chapter 3 years ago, laying the groundwork for a global Resident Evil chapter. However the official production started at the end of 2010.
QUESTION: What you can tell us about Ada and her enigmatic past?
ANSWER: Generally we can just say that if the main game is composed by 3 campaign Ada’s story is without any doubt the 4th, which can be unlocked after completing the others. Taking the role of Ada you can earn a different perspective on the whole plot finding a link between the other 6 characters’ adventures.
QUESTION: Did the chance to take the control of Albert Wesker’s son is a reply to all those fans who wanted impersonate Wesker in past episodes or at least having him in the good guys team?
ANSWER: well we can say that the reason are more than one. In part yes it was a response to fans wishes and in the other hand considering that the game features Chris and Leonwas essential to have a Wesker to bring “new blood” to the saga. It’s not a case that he’s paired with Sherry, a girl who was infected by his father during RE2. Jake is the answer to the natural evolution of the brand.

Just the time to say goodbye to Capcom HQ and we reach the hotel to rest a little bit before to close our fantastic adventure after 2 awesome days!
Linking once gain to the “intro” of this Diary, is impossible for us forget the dinner with Kobayashi san & Co… It was like a dream, an incredible experience that any real RE fans should at least try once in a life. Resident Evil 6 is not just an amazing title with a huge potential but for us rapresent also the reason of the most emotional and involving press tour ever made, for this we feel top thank one more time Capcom and its squad!

A Osaka per Resident Evil 6, parte 3
Aug 6th
