Win Ghost Trick Phantom Detective!
Jan 14th
Or buy it, because it’s really good!*
Ghost Trick Phantom Detective is released today on the Nintendo DS. You follow the story of Sissel, an amnesiac ghost who must use his ghostly powers to protect the lives of innocent people while attempting to uncover the secrets behind his own untimely demise.
Sissel has the unique ability to possess and manipulate objects within the world. Using these abilities to his advantage, he returns to the 4 minutes before a character’s death to change their fate.
Ghost Trick is a story of mystery and intrigue that blends fun logic puzzles with the world of the supernatural, making for an entirely new and unique experience in the handheld gaming space. Part adventure game, part puzzle game, Ghost Trick’s gameplay will challenge player’s brains while its distinct art elements and character designs will deliver the fun.
*of course we would say that, but check out the reviews Ghost Trick has been getting:
“This clever adventure game from the makers of Phoenix Wright provides one of the last great hurrahs for the Nintendo DS.” IGN Editor’s Choice – 8.5
“Ghost Trick is one of the most original and compelling puzzle-oriented adventure games to come along in recent years. Nearly every facet of the game is outstanding: the unique gameplay concept and the puzzles you solve, the great characters and dialogue, the terrific animation and visual design, and the strange mystery, full of surprising twists and shocking revelations, whose threads all come together in a memorable and rewarding conclusion.” Gamespot – 9.0
“It’s a completely fresh experience on Nintendo’s handheld, or anywhere else for that matter, and certainly not one you’ll want to skip.” Destructoid – 8.5
“The only thing that gives Ghost Trick away as being from the same creator as the Ace Attorney series is how much heart the characters have. Because of that, we’re hoping this isn’t the last we see of them.” GamesRadar – 8.0
See? It’s amazing! And we have five copies to give away! To win one all you have to do is answer this question and PM me on the forum (and include your name and address so we can, you know, send it out to you). So! In which Peter Jackson film did Michael J Fox play a Ghost Detective?
Here’s a handy link to the forum!
Closing date for this will be the 17th January.

Win “Resident Evil: Afterlife” Blu-ray™ and more!
Jan 12th
The latest instalment of the Resident Evil film series is out today, Monday 10th January, on Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™ and DVD. If you adopt a gravelly ‘trailer voice’ for reading this next bit in it helps dramatically:
In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead – and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.
The Blu-ray™ 3D will flood veins with adrenaline and kick viewers into survival mode in 1080p high definition 3D, optimised for the latest 3D playback devices and eyewear, but also including a backwards-compatible 2D version of the film that plays on all existing Blu-ray™ players. For those who prefer their zombies safely in two dimensions, ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’ will also be offered on 2D Blu-ray™ and DVD on the same day.
Own it on Blu-ray & DVD!
We have five Blu-rays™ and five DVDs to give away. To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is answer this question: In the film who is the head of Umbrella Corp?
PM you answer, as well as your name and address and which format you’d like (Blu-ray™ or DVD), to me on the forum and I’ll randomly pull names out of decapitated zombie’s head, after scooping its brains out – messy! But fun! Closing date is Monday 17th January.
